Yep, as you guessed, you need to survive. You start out as a very bland looking warrior, but progression unlocks a load of differing playable characters.

Each round is timed and while you’re taking out foes by the dozen you have objectives to complete.

From building structures (these will assist you for a short time) such as turrets through to the protection of objects, like chests.

Then to throw in more the game will send a few Enemy Champions your way. These need to be taken down.

This is done via a game pause selector at any moment you have leveled up.

If you’re keen to try out a different skill or weapon per Level up, you can reroll your prior selections at a cost of in game currency

You get rewarded too for stellar play.. Additional vitals, extra might and more.

Achilles Survivor

To keep yourself going, wipe out as many enemies as you can as they can also be a much needed source of health.

As well as that you’ll find pick ups sporadically dotted through a map.

Achilles Survivor is true to its namesake. It’s not a quick pick up and play due to the timed length of each round, but it is super addictive… until you tire of the repetitive play.

An excellent title though to get your gamer adrenaline pumping and it’s definitely worth its price tag.

Ancient Rome is fully besieged by monsters and it’s up to you to clear the lands… and survive.
