Epic Games is running a fresh double dose of its Fortnite Power Hour on July 11, with the “Holofoil Hours” event boosting spawn rates for the game’s newest shiny Sprite tier across two separate windows. The Fortnite Holofoil Hours event starts at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET on July 11, 2026, and runs for two hours, according to Vice, with a second session later the same evening giving collectors a repeat shot at the rare companions.
Two Two-Hour Windows Give Players a Combined Four Hours
Beebom’s coverage confirms the event runs across a pair of sessions, noting “you will be able to get more Holofoil Sprites in Fortnite between 2-4 PM ET and 9-11 PM ET.” Droidfeats corroborates the total runtime, reporting that players will have a total of 240 minutes, equivalent to four hours, to participate across both blocks on July 11.
The structure follows the same twice-daily format Epic has used for its recurring Fortnite Power Hour since it doubled each session’s length earlier in the season. Gaming outlet ChainPlay previously reported that Power Hours in Chapter 7 Season 3 now run for 2 hours each instead of one, giving players more time to collect boosted Sprites, a change Epic made after complaints that single-hour windows weren’t long enough.
Shock Rocks and Self-Revive Devices Shake Up the Drop
Beyond the boosted Sprite spawns, Holofoil Hours carries its own set of match modifiers. GameLevate reports that players start the match with a Self-Revive Device and receive the Shock Rocks effect when leaving the Battle Bus. Beebom adds that Shock Rocks will drop more frequently and grant double the usual jump height for the duration of each session, layering a bit of chaos onto the standard Sprite-hunting loop.
One notable break from past Power Hours: there’s no XP boost this time around. GameLevate notes that unlike previous Power Hour events, Holofoil Hours does not provide an XP bonus, so players looking to level up their Sprites should instead wait for other seasonal events focused on progression.
Only Five Holofoil Sprites Exist in Chapter 7 Season 3 So Far
The shiny Holofoil tier is still a small collection. Vice reports that there are only five Holofoil Sprites in Fortnite currently, and it’s unclear whether Epic Games will add more in future updates. The variants themselves only entered the game a couple of days before their dedicated Power Hour. Games.gg’s guide notes that Holofoil Sprites arrive on July 9, 2026, dropping into the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, meaning July 11 marks the first concentrated farming window since the shiny companions went live.

Holofoil Hours is the latest in a rotating cast of themed Power Hours Epic has run throughout Chapter 7 Season 3, each spotlighting a different rare Sprite tier. Just last weekend, ChainPlay reported that Fortnite Power Hour returned July 4 2026 as the Gold and Gummy Hours at 2 PM ET and 9 PM ET with Mythic Goldfish for all players, following an earlier Galaxy Hours event with its own set of modifiers.
That rotating format has turned Power Hour into a weekly appointment for Sprite collectors chasing full sets before Chapter 7 Season 3 wraps up, with each event swapping in new bonus items and gameplay quirks on top of the core spawn-rate boost.
NZ and Australia Start Times for the July 11 Sessions
Based on the confirmed 2 PM ET and 9 PM ET start times, New Zealand players should expect the first Holofoil Hours session to land around 6 AM NZST on July 12, with the second session opening around 1 PM NZST the same day. For players on Australia’s east coast, that translates to roughly 4 AM AEST for the first window and 11 AM AEST for the second, making the afternoon session the more realistic option for most local players wanting to hunt down the five Holofoil variants without an early alarm.
