ShaneTheGamer (STG) is an independent gaming, esports and technology publication. We have covered the games people actually play — and the hardware, culture and competitive scene around them — since 2012, from our home base in Aotearoa New Zealand, for a global audience.
Our Mission
We exist to cover gaming honestly and usefully for real players: accurate, timely news; hands-on reviews from people who finish the games; and guides and research we keep current all year. In a web increasingly filled with anonymous, AI-churned content, our promise is simple — real, named people who know and love games, held to clear editorial standards.

STG was founded in 2012 by Shane Thomas and is owned and operated by ShaneTheGamer Ltd, based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our coverage is produced by a team of real gamers — players, builders and lifelong fans who write under their own names and cover the platforms and genres they know best.
