ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has just released information on the availability of two new GTX 1080 powered gaming laptops in Australia, the ROG GX800 and G701.

The ROG GX800 is primed for 4K UHD gaming featuring dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphic cards in SLI, the latest unlocked 7th Gen Intel® Core i7-7820HK processor, 64GB of DDR4 RAM and three 512GB PCIE Gen3 x4 NVME M.2 SSDs in RAID 0. The ROG G701 features a 120Hz FHD display with wide-view-angle technology and NVIDIA  G-SYNC for smooth and fast gaming visuals. The ROG G701 is able to push high frames per second in the latest AAA games with the NVIDIA GeForce  GTX 1080 graphic card, powered by the latest unlocked 7th Gen Intel  Core i7-7820HK processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM and two 256GB PCIE Gen3 x4 NVME M.2 SSDs in RAID 0.

ASUS ROG GX800

The ROG GX800 features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI graphics, providing super-fast, smooth gameplay and detailed gaming environments.

The GX800 is paired with an advanced version of its predecessor’s, the GX700, Hydro Overclocking System to give it the cooling performance required for extreme overclocking of both the processor and graphics cards.

A ROG proprietary connection between the Hydro Overclocking System and the GX800 unit ensures coolant flows smoothly, without leaking. The coolant is pumped and circulated around the processor and graphics card, before it returns to the cooling module where two radiators help dissipate the heat. To cope with these demands, GX800 has two 330W power adapters.

The 18-inch ROG GX800 is the world’s first gaming laptop to provide real 4K UHD gameplay for realistic, highly-detailed gaming worlds with faster and smoother frame rates. The GX800 is able to run games at ‘Ultra’ graphics settings at frame rates averaging over 60FPS.

In addition, the combination of NVIDIA SLI graphics and the Hydro Overclocking System ensures the GX800 has the performance to deliver the very best VR gaming experiences. The GX800 provides super-smooth, stutter-free VR visuals with frame rates exceeding 90FPS. Featuring plug-and-play compatibility with leading VR headsets, the GX800 is designed for immersive VR gaming.

The MechTAG keyboard has mechanical switches for positive clicks with 2.5mm of key travel distance for accurate, tactile keystrokes. It incorporates 100% anti-ghosting with 30-key rollover to ensure that multiple keystroke commands are correctly registered, even when 30 keys are pressed simultaneously. In addition, ROG Aura RGB LED effects allows gamers to configure different effects and colors for individual keys.

The VR Ready NVIDIA  GeForce  GTX 1080 graphics card used in the ROG G701 provides excellent graphics performance and energy efficiency to give gamers incredible VR gaming experiences.

The ROG G701V also features a super-fast 120Hz wide-viewing-angle panel with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology in order to take advantage of the GTX 1080 graphical power. NVIDIA G-SYNC reduces lag, minimizes frame-rate stutter and eliminates visual tearing. It gives gamers the smoothest and fastest gaming experience, all without affecting system performance.

The ROG G701 is powered by an unlocked 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor to give gamers incredible desktop-grade gaming performance. It also features 32GB of DDR4 memory and two 256GB PCIE Gen3 x4 SSDs in RAID 0.
