Now, thirty years later, Tina and SHOUSE are set to enchant a new generation with the revitalized version to resonate with both long-time fans and newcomers to create a dynamic synergy that elevates the track to new heights.
Tina Arena is one of Australia’s highest selling artists of all time, selling more than 10 million albums worldwide. Her landmark second solo album “Don’t Ask” was released in 1994 which included the original version of “Chains” as lead single. The album has become one of Australia’s biggest selling albums of all time. It gained Ten x ARIA Award nominations and won Five including ‘Album of the Year’. Now 30 years later her collaboration with SHOUSE proves yet again Tina constantly transcends musical boundaries. Expressing her excitement about the collaboration Tina shares, “Revisiting ‘Chains’ with SHOUSE has been an incredible journey. Melbourne duo SHOUSE (Ed and Jack) have hit over one billion streams in just the past few years kicked off from their 2021 global mega hit “Love Tonight”, followed by a string of other hit singles. Getting the chance to work with Tina Arena to remake one of her biggest songs they shared, “Working with the legendary Tina Arena on this project has been a dream come true. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Don’t Ask” Tina Arena has just announced an upcoming live tour. Joining Tina on the concert shows lineup this November and December will be Richard Marx (US), Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, Southern Sons, 1927.
