Taking things back to a simpler time, the latest offering from Flashmob Records comes from Blue Marlin Ibiza resident, Luca Garaboni, who delivers Discoland – a winter-warmer that’s got support from CamelPhat, Steve Lawler, Dennis Cruz, Roger Sanchez, Davide Squillace, Nic Fanciulli and Tini Gessler, and a distinct 90s vibe that will keep clubbers bouncing well into 2020.

A subtle, growling bassline creeps in and sets the scene before a vocal sample declares that “it’s going to be a lovely day” – Luca Garaboni knows a thing or two about how to capture the feeling of a dance floor under the spell of a classic house track and he applies every trick in the book to make sure that Discoland is overflowing with infectious energy.

Discoland

Describing the track, Luca said: “Discoland was inspired by ‘90s House mood. Kick, bass and percussions give it a topical touch, designed for the dancefloor. A typical vinyl noise is flowing in the background and all around the atmosphere smells like a grunge dance hall where I was born at. The crowds have been pretty reactive especially when the solo piano is playing, carefully reproduced with an original Korg Mono Poly.”

The perfect fit for both late-night warehouse sessions and sunny poolside afternoons, Discoland fuses a hypnotic groove with catchy synth work that makes it a versatile addition to any DJ’s record collection and another statement of intent from Flashmob Records that shows the label is going to be front and centre for a long time to come.

Luca Garaboni – Discoland is out now via Flashmob Records.
