How do you make one of the largest, most popular sandbox creation games better?

You add campaigns and throw in a deep RPG element to it, and that’s exactly what Microsoft and Mojang have done with Minecraft Legends.

For players (and addicts) of Minecraft, it’s the game you already know and love.

Creation, harvesting resources, building, battling and more is still at the forefront. But what we see is a storyline added, with marauding Piglins taking over Overworld, opening portals, which you’ll need to find and shut down.

Think of a strategy stand-alone game that takes place in the Minecraft universe.

Minecraft Legends

In true Minecraft style you can play how you want to, you must gather resources, build shelters, and fend off monsters while exploring the game’s procedurally generated world. Defend bases and fend off waves of enemies either alone or teamed up. If you’re getting low on resources you can Ping your team who can help gather what you need.

The PVP2 allows for 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4. There are also regular challenges added in to the game for you take on.

Minecraft Legends has been built for newbies to be able to jump in and get to grips with the blocky yet very playable gameplay and menu system.

And as with the main Minecraft game, replayability is near endless for Legends due to the procedural rendering of the game (it’s different every time you play) and of course the robust multiplayer.

Minecraft Legends is also cross platform. Play on Xbox Series X|S or PC.

Minecraft Legends

Given that Minecraft Legends is reminiscent to a dungeon crawler RPG, it still retains the original flavour – its open-ended nature, which allows you to create your own experiences and play the game in a way that suits.

The main game also has a large and active modding community, which adds even more variety and content.

Overall, Minecraft Legends breathes a strategical breathe of fresh air in to what is an already super popular game that has something for players of all ages and skill levels.

Minecraft Legends is simply another way to play, adds a storyline and some serious competitive gameplay.
