Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Preload Times and July 9 Launch Confirmed

Ubisoft has officially confirmed the worldwide release timings for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, with preloading already available for Xbox Series X|S players ahead of the game’s July 9 launch. According to GamingBolt, PlayStation 5 and PC players will be able to start preloading on July 7, giving everyone ample time to get the remake ready before it goes live across all platforms.

When Does Black Flag Resynced Actually Launch?

Per GamingBolt’s report, the remake will go live worldwide on July 9 at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EST for PC and Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. Console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will need to wait a little longer, with the game unlocking at midnight local time on their respective platforms.

As for preloading, Xbox Series X|S owners can already start downloading the game. GamingBolt notes that PC players can begin preloading on July 7 at 2 PM UTC, while PS5 players can start at midnight local time on the same day, ensuring the full install is ready well before launch day arrives.

A Ground-Up Remake of a Classic

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a remake of the beloved 2013 open-world pirate adventure, once again putting players in the boots of Edward Kenway, a pirate who finds himself unexpectedly entangled with the Brotherhood of Assassins. The story follows his journey across the lawless Caribbean Sea in pursuit of fortune, crossing paths with famous figures like Blackbeard and Captain Kidd before events take a darker turn.

According to GamingBolt, the remake has been rebuilt from the ground up using the latest version of Ubisoft’s Anvil Engine. This includes overhauled visuals, a reworked combat system with a heavier emphasis on parrying and fluid movement, refined parkour mechanics, and significantly detailed environments, with the city of Havana cited as a notable example of the visual improvements.

Ubisoft Singapore and Vantage Studios Behind the Remake

The remake is being developed with Ubisoft Singapore and Vantage Studios attached to the project, according to GamingBolt’s report. The game reportedly went gold nearly a month before this release timing reveal, with Ubisoft having shared additional details about the project in the lead-up to launch.

Ubisoft also promoted the news through its official Assassin’s Creed social media account, counting down to the release and encouraging fans to share whether they plan to jump in on day one. With preloading now underway on Xbox and set to begin shortly on PS5 and PC, anticipation continues to build ahead of next week’s global launch.
