Predator Gaming ANZ is delighted to announce that team Antic eSports will be heading to the Philippines this coming January , 2024, to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific Predator League after being crowned champions at the Oceanic Final Qualifiers last month.
This year’s Predator League boasts a combined prize pool of US$200,000, the highly coveted Predator Shield and Acer Predator products.
Teams from across the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, will be battling it out in-person at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals in Manila in January – the region’s most esteemed esports tournament. To take home this prestigious award, teams must demonstrate mastery of the highly acclaimed game, Valorant.
With the latest Australia Plays – 2023 Report by IGEA (Interactive Games & Entertainment Association) and Bond University stating that 81% of all Australians play video games, Predator continues to nurture and promote the esports industry, with Predator League providing an avenue for young esports talent to grow their potential.
Team Antic eSports are located across various parts of NSW and QLD, with a love for gaming seeing them develop a bond that eventually led to them being a winning esports team. Team manager Mitchell Pilipowski said on the team’s recent achievements, “Tournaments like Predator League provide a great platform to showcase Australian talent in the Asia Pacific and are exactly the kind of opportunities that local players need. Historically, Australia has been one of the strongest regions in tactical first-person shooter games like Valorant – we can’t wait to represent Australia at the Grand Finals and to go up against some of the best players in the region.”
This year’s Valorant Oceanic Qualifiers saw Predator partner with video gaming marketing and game tech leaders Livewire to deliver the local leg of the tournament, with Livewire Co-Founder Brad Manuel commenting, “We are proud to have partnered with Predator for the Oceanic Qualifiers for this year’s Asia Pacific Predator League. Tournaments like Predator League provide a valuable platform for emerging competitive players, giving them the important opportunity to further develop their skills,” said Brad.
The Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals will be taking place in the Philippines from the 13th to 14th of January, 2024.
