Following the BBC Radio 1 backed success of recent single Dawn of The Dead, anonymous duo SUB-X continue to make waves in the UK scene and beyond with new release Every Guy Like You via Spinnin’ Deep.
First emerging in 2021, the London duo’s breakout hit What You Do To Me on Positiva sampling Loleatta Holloway’s Love Sensation reached no.1 on Beatport Breaks and the UK Upfront Club & Commercial Charts, landed Charlie Hedges’ ‘Hottest Record of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1, saw support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, KISS FM, and Capital Dance, and racked up over 5M streams.
Channelling their signature sound inspired by the deepest parts of rave, the single was championed by Danny Howard, Sarah Story, Clara Amfo and Charlie Hedges, saw additions to the Capital Dance and KISS FM playlist, and received the remix treatment from Charlie Hedges, Eddie Craig and LF SYSTEM. Continuing their upward trajectory, the duo’s most recent single Dawn of The Dead with Leena Punks landed SUB-X’s second Hottest Record of the Week on BBC Radio 1 and received support from DJ S.K.T on KISS FM.
Still reeling from breakout success, SUB-X return with yet another dance floor banger with viral potential. Continuing to embellish the industry with 90s rave elements, SUB-X samples Bob James’ Westchester Lady, an iconic sample used by the likes of Adam F for the sweet concoction of soulful vocals, diamond flow, and breezy D&B groove that emanates from Every Guy Like You.
