Fast Travel Games has announced that Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife is now available on Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift.
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife is a story-driven VR horror game set in the World of Darkness where players must solve the mystery behind their death and uncover dark secrets using supernatural abilities. Check out the haunting launch trailer above.
Take on the role of Ed Miller, a photographer who becomes a Wraith after dying in a mysterious séance. To discover the horrifying truth behind your death, you must explore the Barclay Mansion and use your newly acquired supernatural abilities to uncover its darkest secrets.
But beware, disturbed spirits known as Spectres roam the mansion’s halls. You will need to avoid and outwit these tortured souls to survive.
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife combines a chilling atmosphere and gripping story with terrifying enemies to create a true VR horror experience that brims with tension and suspense. While light on jump scares, players will need to rely on their sense of self-preservation to survive.
“Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife is our love letter to the World of Darkness. Its monster-filled universe has always captured my imagination with its dark storytelling and intrigue, I still can’t believe I get to help create the first VR game set in one of its story worlds,” Erik Odeldahl, co-founder and creative director at Fast Travel Games, said. “We’re not just making a VR horror game. We’re telling a chilling story set in one of the most iconic horror worlds out there and I couldn’t be more proud of what our team has created.”
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife is the first VR title set in the World of Darkness, the shared story universe containing Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf the Apocalypse, and others. It also marks the first time Wraith: The Oblivion has expanded beyond tabletop RPGs and into video games, allowing fans to experience the afterlife as a Wraith like never before.
Players can purchase Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife now for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift platforms. The game will launch on Steam VR May 25th 2021 and PSVR later in 2021.
