A limited edition series the darker triangle tiles look like killer wall art when turned on and off. But, I’m jumping ahead here, first you need to set them up.
In the pack you’ll get everything you need.
Nine triangle, AC adapter, connectors and double sided foam as well as the lighting controller.
For those that have yet to get in to the Nanoleaf Shapes or Triangles, placing together and mounting on your wall is super simple.
The connectors are exactly what the sound like, they connect the Triangles to each other and provide a flow of electrical current to each tile.
I’d recommend putting together your uniquely designed layout on a flat surface before you wall mount.
The double sided sticky foam, supplied, is what is going to fasten them to your wall.
Nanoleaf have changed things up from their previous Shapes, Tiles and Lines by using easy peel foam.
Safer and friendlier to wallpaper or painted walls – this said, be sure you have your design set and lined up as you want it, as placing and peeling off the Triangles multiple times may still cause some wear to your wall and most definitely you’ll lose the stickiness of the double sided foam.
Once your Triangles are set in place, you’ll need to add the controller.
This unit allows you to have pre-set lighting configurations, music or sound sensitivity and power them on and off.
Adding the AC adaptor is the same as placing the connectors.
Once you’re done the fun begins.
If you’re cool to just have the factory pre-set lighting options then you’re good to go.
But if you want something more unique, more you you’ll need the Nanoleaf app for iOS or Android.
Via the app connect your Ultra Black Triangles to your home WiFi or Bluetooth and boom, you have some very arty smart lights.
The app enables you to select from 1,000s of user created lighting configs or create your own.
You can also add the Nanoleaf Ultra Black Triangles to your existing smart home set up and have them controlled via voice with your preferred smart assistant. For me that is Alexa.
The Nanoleaf Ultra Black Triangles are a limited run. If you’re looking to get ambient smart lighting – these would e the ones while you still can.
