Finally on mobile devices! Lock’s Quest, the cult classic real-time strategy game is out now, blending Tower Defense, RTS and RPG into a unique mix.

Play as Lock a young, brave hero, who is the last line of defense of his village against the hordes of Lord Agony, the Clockwork Army. Lock has just learned the skills of an Archineer, a builder of magical, mechanical devices and with his wide array of customized towers, traps, walls, weapons, and other defenses it’s up to you and Lock to stop the Invasion and rise to become the one true hero to protect the whole kingdom.

Lock’s Quest blends real-time strategy gameplay with RPG elements and the classic Tower Defense formula and combines them with a fully-fledged storyline.

The gameplay is divided into three parts: In the story part, you travel the Kingdom with Lock, talk to NPCs, take quests, get new equipment and experience the story. When enemy forces appear, it’s time to prepare your defensive structures in the build mode – place towers, walls, traps and customize them. Add an acid attack to a tower for example, or harden your walls by using stone instead of wood.

The third part of gameplay starts, when the battle commences where you will roam the battlefield with Lock, smash enemies, repair towers and walls and use your super attacks wisely. Lock’s Quest is out now and is a classed as a premium game with one price purchase. There will be no microtransactions, neither ads nor loot box gambling – just a great game for a fair price.

A Rat’s Quest is an action-adventure game by Mexican studio The Dreamerians and will be published by HandyGames in 2021. It’s currently in development for PC, PlayStation­ 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

On March 28th, 2019 the Penny Arcade Expo in Boston will open up its doors once more for thousands of enthusiastic gamers.

Handy Games are happy to announce their participation and we will show three very fine indie highlights there.

El Hijo, from Berlin-based Honig Studios, is a non-violent stealth game in a spaghetti western setting. After bandits burned down their farm, El Hijo was brought to a nearby monastery by his mother. She thought he would be safe there, but it soon transpires that the monks are forcing children to work. El Hijo tries to escape the monastery, sneaking right into a complex story of bandits, corrupt sheriffs, crime and greed.

Through the Darkest of Times is their second game from Berlin, Germany. And this one takes place in Berlin during the darkest of times, when Adolf Hitler was chancellor of the Third Reich. The player takes command of a small resistance group and tries to guide them safely through the years of the Nazi reign in Germany, all while trying to gather support and inform the population, as well as sabotaging and delivering blows against the regime.

Rad Rodgers Radical Edition is a throwback to iconic ’90s run-&-gun games, featuring a local co-op mode and famous action and platformer heroes such as Duke Nukem, Lo Wang and Cosmo from Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure.

Handy Games will be at Booth number 18007, near the entrance of the expo, be sure to drop in and get some hands-on time.

Townsmen – A Kingdom Rebuilt is not just being unveiled for PC, but it’s finished and ready for ribbon-cutting on February 26th 2019. And the good news for loyal Townsmenfolk doesn’t stop there, because when the new kingdom comes it will appear completely free of charge in the great library of noble video games for owners of 2016’s original Townsmen.

This improved and remastered version of the iconic Townsmen is packed to the rafters. Containing 24 maps for the sandbox mode, and 26 bespoke scenarios, it’s up to you whether you want to pick your own tale and turn a barren pile of grass into a gigantic city, or face a predefined challenge as you research over 70 technologies and construct more than 150 buildings and objects. Either way, a new, six-mission-long tutorial will make your first steps as a mayor as smooth as fine silk from the tailor’s shop.

Be sure to plan your city wisely: your Townies & Townettes need a place to live, to work, to relax, and to grab some food. Having a market place close to their work will guarantee a short walk and also a realistically-constructed town. And speaking of placement, make sure to have fire towers and infirmaries around for when one of the new catastrophes strikes and your city is hit by a massive inferno or a plague outbreak…

On its neverending search for true Indie gems, HandyGames stumbled over the fantastic Ej Hijo from Berlin-Based Honig Studios.

In El Hijo the player takes the role of a six-year old boy, searching the Wild Wild West for his mother. It’s a spaghetti-western, non-violent stealth game, coming 2019 to PC, MAC and Consoles.

As a six-year old, El Hijo must always sneak past the dangers of his world. As he overcomes his challenges, he gains self-confidence and cunning and with it more schemes to get past his foes. On his journey he will find himself in a remote monastery, a harsh and unforgiving stretch of desert and a frontier town rife with crime and villainy.

El Hijo is developed by award-winning Honig Studios in Berlin, Germany for PC, MAC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One and Xbox One X.

It will be published by HandyGames, family member of the THQ Nordic network in 2019.

Take a deep breath… Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Owltimate Edition (GSTDOE) might be one of the longest gaming titles you’ll see all year, but that length is proportional to both content and excitement. That’s because a new version of the beloved platformer is heading to Nintendo Switch and it’s bringing heaps of new content along for the ride.

The Owltimate Edtion contains the original Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams as well as all existing DLC, including Rise Of The Owlverlord. But that’s not all: five brand-new Levels and beautiful new story cutscenes between each level make this the best Giana Sisters outing ever. Also, famous german video game music composer Chris Huelsbeck and Swedish band Machinae Supremacy have created new tracks for the game.

Developed by THQ Nordic’s Studio Black Forest Games, GSTDOE will be published by HandyGames, the latest family member of the THQ Nordic network. HandyGames will act as an independent publisher, focusing on small and mid-sized projects or 3rd-party indie games.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams offers classic 2D platforming fun in meticulously detailed 3D environments. Players can turn cute Giana into a punk version of herself at the press of a button, transforming the game’s star, the soundtrack and even the world. This overhaul isn’t merely cosmetic: Giana’s punk persona is a critical to overcoming obstacles and solving particularly tricky situations. In her sweet incarnation, Giana whirls gracefully over obstacles and opponents, but when ‘punked up’ she smashes through stone blocks with mighty dashes and can master her environment by bouncing off walls.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Owltimate Edition is part of HandyGames’ gamescom-lineup for Nintendo Switch and has a release date of the September 25, 2018.
