Grid 2: Full Gameplay Trailer Released – News

Codemasters has just released the first full-length GRID 2 gameplay trailer revealing how a new world of competitive motorsport will come alive with major cinematic style, stunning locations and beautifully rendered cars.

GRID 2, the long-awaited sequel to the BAFTA-award winning, critically acclaimed Race Driver: GRID 2, will race into both Australia and New Zealand stores on 30^th May 2013 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.

The gameplay video reveals a flavour of GRID 2’s unique racing experience and unveils a selection of the game’s beautifully realised locations, including Paris, Barcelona, Chicago, California and the Red Bull Ring.

GRID 2’s Road Racing locations are represented as cars including the BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution, Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970  race head-to-head on the California Coast. Track Racing is shown at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, where the Ariel Atom 3, BAC Mono and KTM X-Bow R go flat out around this historic circuit.

Street Racing, meanwhile, is shown in Paris, as marques including the McLaren MP4-12C, Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG and Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition tear around the Arc de Triumph. Hot hatches including the Alfa Romeo Giuletta and Ford Focus ST race into the night in Barcelona and stunning cars including the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Nismo Z Tune, Pagani Huayra, Koenigsegg Agera R and more charge through Chicago.

GRID 2 will challenge players to be fast, be first and be famous. Going behind the wheel of a handpicked selection of automotive icons spanning four decades, gamers will race their way to the top of a new, evolving world of motorsport. From Paris to Abu Dhabi, Chicago to the sun-kissed California coast and beyond, beautifully created city streets, licensed circuits and edge-of-control mountain roads will become home to the most visceral and exhilarating racing yet.

GRID 2 will also set new standards for a racing multiplayer experience with an entirely distinct and extensive gameplay component and unique progression system. Deep customisation options and integration with RaceNet* – the online community portal for Codemasters Racing games which tracks player’s races, rewards and rivals – will offer further immersion and connectivity in GRID 2’s new world of motorsport.
