BC Game Sign Magisk as In-Game Leader, Joining s1mple, Senzu and electroNic

BC Game have signed Emil “Magisk” Reif as their new in-game leader, handing the four-time Major winner the captaincy of a Counter-Strike 2 roster the organisation has been assembling from established stars through 2026. The Danish veteran joins a lineup that already features Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, and Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold.
BC Game confirmed the move on their official X account on 30 June 2026, describing Magisk as “one of the greatest to ever touch the game” and pointing to his Major record as the reason for the signing, adding “he’s here to captain us to our first.” The post attached a montage of his career highlights captioned “our IGL is here.”

Magisk Takes Over as BC Game Captain
Magisk steps in as in-game leader, the role that had been the clearest gap in a roster otherwise stacked with individual firepower. He replied to the announcement to confirm the transfer, saying he was excited to get started on the project and that there was lots of work ahead.
The Dane had been without a team since the end of 2025, when he left Astralis after a brief second stint with the Danish organisation. He brings prior captaincy experience, though limited, from a spell as Astralis’ IGL in 2020.
Magisk’s Career and Major Pedigree
Magisk built his reputation as part of the Astralis side that dominated Counter-Strike in the late 2010s, winning three Majors with the team across 2018 and 2019. He added a fourth Major with Team Vitality in 2023, where he was also named Anchor of the Year. Across a career that began in 2015 he has collected over 20 top-tier titles and an ESL Grand Slam, with earlier stops at OpTic Gaming before his time with Vitality.
His most recent team before this signing was Falcons, whom he represented from 2024 until September 2025 as part of the organisation’s attempt to build a super-team. That side won PGL Bucharest, Falcons’ first Counter-Strike 2 trophy, in 2025.
BC Game’s Frankensteined Roster
BC Game are a young organisation, formed in June 2024 and based across the United Arab Emirates and EMEA, but they have moved aggressively to break into Tier 1. The strategy has been to collect high-level players who were underused or misfitting at their previous teams and fuse them into a single stacked lineup.
The build began in late 2025 with AWPer s1mple and former Virtus.pro player electroNic, before Senzu arrived from The MongolZ. Senzu had said in a 21 June interview that he was unable to play freely at his previous team, and BC Game secured him permanently after an initial loan spell. The current active roster reads:
| Player | Role |
|---|---|
| Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev | Rifler / AWPer |
| Denis “electroNic” Sharipov | Entry |
| Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold | Rifler / AWPer |
| Emil “Magisk” Reif | In-Game Leader |
| Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas | Coach |
What Magisk Adds to the Lineup
The signing addresses the team’s captaincy question and fills a structural hole rather than adding more raw aim. electroNic operates as an entry, while s1mple and Senzu both flex between rifles and the AWP, leaving the roster without a dedicated leader to organise those pieces. As IGL, Magisk gives BC Game someone to set the strategy and move a group that spans a wide range of age and experience.
The addition leaves BC Game one signing short of a complete starting five. Magisk joins two players he knows well in electroNic and s1mple, having faced both repeatedly across their careers, as the organisation continues its push toward the top tier.
