The oldest and most prolific LAN event is coming around again to Auckland. Ping Zero is a gaming event that started out as a hobby with a few mates, to become Auckland longest running regular event.

Ping Zero has been growing a community of veteran and new-generation gamers, for over 12 years.

The 2 day LAN event accommodates all game genres and styles of gaming, whether it is casual or professional gaming, you will feel welcomed by the rest of the gaming community.

Ping Zero 1

Based in New Zealand, this event will be held over Easter April 18th – April 20th at The Trusts Arena “Home of Ping Zero” in West Auckland, Waitakere.

This event “Ping Zero 44”, will be a longer than usual.  It will be starting at Midday on Friday and finishing Midday on Sunday.  Ping Zero is usually a 40 hour event.

Ping Zero

With the Ping Zero 44 LAN quickly approaching, tournament brackets and prize pools are starting to be formulated.  The event compromises of 300 slots with multiple games running in the competitive circuit.

Games such as Trackmania 2, Battlefield 4, Counterstrike, Quake Live, League of Legends, and DOTA2.  Players bring their own computers (BYOC), set up play through this non-stop 48 hour event.

Ping Zero

This professional event provides gamers with everything they need, Fast Internet, Stable power, and a great friendly atmosphere.  If you are new to gaming this is a great way to meet likeminded people, as everyone feels welcome.  However, please note that this is an R18 event, so feel free to have a few drinks with friends in between all the fragging.

A dedicated sleeping area is provided, so bring some pillows and blankets.  Showers are also provided free of charge.   There is a door charge however, of $49.

Ping Zero

Gameplay is casted, and streamed live to the spectator area.  Spectators are welcome to watch the finals live from 6PM on Saturday 19 April. Spectator Tickets are only $9, this also includes entry to some of the “FUN” Ping Zero console competitions.
