Riot Games is rolling out a closed beta of its revamped Partner Program, aimed at bringing new perks and stronger support to creators across League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and VALORANT.
This marks the next stage in the evolution of the League Partner Program (LPP), which had been frozen for years while Riot rethought how best to support creators. The new system is designed to recognise content creators across more of Riot’s titles, while also experimenting with ways to make the program more rewarding and sustainable long term.
Its finally live, the beta update to LPP, beta launch of VALORANT Partner Program, and a separate beta TFT Partner Program. Learn about them here: https://t.co/O7cFkBG11U

A Closed Beta for Select Creators
Starting this week, a limited group of creators worldwide are being invited to join the closed beta. Riot explained that keeping the test small helps maintain quality and ensures the program works properly across different regions and communities before it’s expanded.
For League creators, this means a long-awaited chance to rejoin a refreshed program. For VALORANT and TFT creators, it’s the very first opportunity to officially gain Riot-backed benefits and recognition.
What’s on Offer
The first perks for partners are expected to roll out in late October. They include cosmetic rewards and in-game recognition, such as:
- A “Like, Comment, Subscribe” title in League of Legends
- A “VALORANT Partner” title in VALORANT
- A Mythic Little Legend in Teamfight Tactics
Riot also plans to test additional perks over the coming months. Some benefits may stick around permanently, while others will evolve or rotate depending on feedback from both creators and players.
The company says its ambition is to make the program feel “meaningful and intentional”, ensuring creators feel properly supported while building stronger ties with their audiences.
Looking Ahead
While the current beta only covers League, VALORANT, and TFT, Riot confirmed it plans to expand creator support to other titles including Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Riftbound, and 2XKO in the future.
Applications to the Partner Program remain closed for now. Riot expects to reopen them in late 2026, once the system has been tested and refined. Until then, invites will remain selective, with creators who consistently produce active, high-quality content likely having the best shot at joining once applications open.
Notable Changes from the Old LPP
Compared to the old League Partner Program, which offered things like developer access, free in-game items, and community chroma giveaways, this new version is broader in scope. Riot has confirmed chroma giveaways won’t return, instead focusing on perks that it believes will better connect creators with their communities.
For creators who were previously part of the LPP, an invite to the new beta isn’t guaranteed. Riot noted that some former partners have shifted away from creating content or moved to other games, and the company wants to focus on active creators still driving their communities forward.
Staying Safe From Scams
Riot also issued a warning about potential phishing scams. Official invites will only come from “@riotgames.com” or “@mail.creators.riotgames.com” email addresses. The company stressed that it will never ask for passwords or send application links through Discord or text messages.
The Bigger Picture
With creators being a major part of how Riot’s games are experienced and shared, this new Partner Program is a clear step towards strengthening that relationship. By testing different perks and gathering feedback now, Riot hopes to build a system that’s genuinely worth the wait.
