Rainbow Six Mobile India Release Time Confirmed
Ubisoft has confirmed that the Rainbow Six Mobile rollout in India will start at 7:30 p.m. IST on February 19. Earlier posts referenced 9 a.m. EST, which aligns with the same launch window, ensuring clarity for players tracking the release internationally.
This early access gives Indian players a four-day head start before the worldwide launch. Rainbow Six Mobile is set to release globally as a free-to-play title on February 23.
Why India Is First In Line
India represents one of the largest mobile gaming markets in the world. Research from Niko Partners indicates that over 500 million people in the country play games on mobile devices, making it a massive audience for Ubisoft to tap into.
Ubisoft’s own team has acknowledged the significance of launching there first. Chirag ‘Tito’ Morab, Graphic Technical Director at Ubisoft, shared his excitement ahead of launch, saying the team is currently “warming up our servers in Mumbai.” He also welcomed Indian players directly, adding, “To my fellow compatriots, welcome to Rainbow Six Mobile and see you in the game.”
That server preparation in Mumbai suggests Ubisoft is investing heavily in local infrastructure to ensure a stable experience at launch.
Ranked Mode Goes Live At Global Launch
Interestingly, while Indian players get early access to Rainbow Six Mobile, they will not immediately have access to Ranked Mode.
Ubisoft previously revealed that Ranked Mode will remain offline until the global launch on February 23. This means competitive play will go live simultaneously worldwide, allowing all players to start climbing the ladder on equal footing.
For players eager to test their skills competitively, it is essentially a warm-up period before the ranked grind officially begins.
Rainbow Six Mobile And India’s Esports Landscape
India is no stranger to mobile esports. In July 2025, Garena announced the return of Free Fire Max esports, reigniting competitive interest in the region. Meanwhile, KRAFTON’s Battlegrounds Mobile India, often referred to as BGMI, continues to host regular tournaments through various organisers.
Rainbow Six Mobile brings a more tactical, operator-based style of gameplay compared to traditional battle royale titles. Its slower pace, strategic gadget usage, and focus on coordinated team play could carve out a different competitive niche in India’s already thriving mobile esports ecosystem.
With the early launch now confirmed and servers going live in Mumbai, all eyes will be on how quickly the community adopts the game. If the reception matches the scale of India’s mobile player base, Rainbow Six Mobile could find itself with a strong foothold well before its global debut even begins.
