Update: Epic Games has now issued an official teaser for Fortnite KPop Demon Hunters Wave 2, posting the Korean phrase “영원히 깨질 수 없는” meaning “Forever unbreakable” on its social channels. The teaser has fuelled fresh speculation that the crossover is imminent. You can read the full update, including what it likely confirms about Jinu and the Saja Boys, in our latest report on Fortnite KPop Demon Hunters Wave 2 teased.

A new Fortnite crossover with KPop Demon Hunters appears to be imminent, with multiple leaks pointing to Jinu from the Saja Boys joining Epic Games’ battle royale as part of a Wave 2 collaboration.

Jinu From KPop Demon Hunters Rumoured For Fortnite

According to prominent Fortnite leaker AdiraFNInfo, Jinu is expected to arrive “very soon” as part of KPop Demon Hunters Wave 2. While details remain unconfirmed, the leaker stated that emotes will be included alongside the new cosmetic drop.

When asked whether the full Saja Boys lineup would be added, AdiraFNInfo suggested it was unlikely, noting that current information strongly points to Jinu as the primary focus, with other additions still based on rumours rather than confirmed data.

What Is KPop Demon Hunters Wave 2?

Wave 2 is rumoured to mark the return of the KPop Demon Hunters collaboration in Fortnite’s Item Shop. This would reportedly include the re-release of original cosmetics from the first crossover, which introduced Zoey, Mira, and Rumi from the girl group HUNTR/X, along with themed emotes and cosmetics.

The original event also temporarily rebranded Fortnite’s Horde Rush mode into Demon Rush during Fortnitemares. As that mode was tied to Halloween, it is considered unlikely to return, even if the cosmetics do.

Fortnite Jinu Skin Timing And Release Window

Dataminers uncovered references to the Wave 2 crossover following Fortnite’s V39.30 update. While Epic Games has not confirmed a release date, the wording “very soon” has led many to speculate a late January or early February rollout, depending on Fortnite’s crowded content schedule.

So far, only a Jinu skin has surfaced in leaks. There is no indication that additional Saja Boys characters will be included at launch, though future expansions have not been ruled out.

Additional Emotes, Sidekick And Possible Back Bling

Beyond Jinu’s skin, leaks suggest Wave 2 will expand the KPop Demon Hunters crossover with additional cosmetic content. Sources indicate multiple new emotes are planned, including dance-focused animations tied to the franchise’s music.

Leaks have also pointed to Derpy, Jinu’s demon cat companion from the film, appearing as a sidekick cosmetic. This would mark one of the more character-specific additions in the collaboration so far.

There has also been speculation around new back bling tied to Jinu, with some suggesting his bipa instrument, which he plays in several scenes, could be included as an accessory. While other companion-style cosmetics have been discussed, only Derpy has been repeatedly referenced across leaks.

Why KPop Demon Hunters Keeps Returning To Fortnite

Released on Netflix in June 2025, KPop Demon Hunters quickly became a cultural breakout, reportedly amassing hundreds of millions of views worldwide. Jinu, the lead singer of the antagonist Saja Boys, became one of the film’s most recognisable characters, making his absence from the original Fortnite crossover notable.

With the film’s continued popularity and awards recognition, including major industry nominations, a second Fortnite collaboration was widely expected.

For now, all eyes are on Epic Games to see when, or if, Wave 2 is officially announced. If the leaks are accurate, Fortnite players may not have long to wait before Jinu takes the stage.
