Clash Royale Promises No Level 17 and No New Levels Ever, Hands Out King’s Final Gift

Clash Royale developer Supercell has promised there will be no Level 17 and no new card levels ever, framing the decision as the King’s final promise to players and marking it with a free Emote handed to everyone in the Heads Will Roll event. The commitment landed on July 4 across the game’s official channels.
It is a direct response to long-running community anxiety about power creep, and the studio says it plans to keep the game moving in other ways.
No Level 17, No New Levels, Ever
“The King has spoken, and he means it! A commitment from us to you: No Level 17. No new levels. EVER!” the studio wrote in its official announcement. “We’ll keep evolving Clash Royale, just not by adding new levels.” The casts the pledge as the King’s last word: “No more levels. Could it really be true? So here it is, the King’s last promise. We’ve heard you loud and clear. A commitment from us to you that there will be no level 17.”

The King’s Final Gift and Heads Will Roll
To celebrate, Supercell attached a free Emote as the King’s Final Gift for everyone taking part in the Heads Will Roll event. After some players reported it failing to appear, the studio confirmed a fix: “The issue causing the King’s Final Gift to not appear for everyone has been fixed! To claim your Emote, simply open and close the #HeadsWillRoll event.”
The Heads Will Roll event itself runs from June 29 to July 5, 2026, and works on a simple loop: win one battle each day to claim that day’s reward and enter the jackpot draw, then vote on whether you are satisfied with the King’s offering, a community vote that decides whether the countdown continues. Rewards reset daily, so there are six chances in total across the week. The jackpot pool is unusually rich, with Supercell adding new rewards every day and headline prizes including a fully maxed account, upgraded with all cards, Evolutions, Heroes and max progression, alongside a 1 million Gems payout and Pass Royale.
