Rhythm Heaven Groove Gets Nintendo Tokyo Merch and Nintendo Music Tracks

Nintendo has rolled out new merchandise and soundtrack support for Rhythm Heaven Groove now that the rhythm game has launched worldwide on Nintendo Switch. According to Siliconera, eight new merchandise items themed around the game are currently available at Nintendo Tokyo, while seven tracks from the game’s soundtrack have been added to the Nintendo Music app for players everywhere.

The merchandise rollout is so far exclusive to the Nintendo Tokyo storefront, and it remains unclear whether these items will eventually make their way to other regions, including North America. Meanwhile, the streaming additions give fans outside Japan a chance to listen to select pieces from the game’s score even without owning a physical or digital copy.

What’s in the Rhythm Heaven Groove merch lineup

Per Siliconera’s rundown of the Nintendo Tokyo listings, the collection leans heavily on the broader Rhythm Heaven series while still spotlighting characters introduced in Groove. The Clappy Trio appears on a castanet-shaped keychain, and Rhythm Tweezers’ onion mascot is reimagined as a coin purse attached to a keychain.

The newly introduced Hoop Trundling characters get their own acrylic keychain as well. The full range, as listed by Siliconera, includes:

  • Clappy Trio Castanet Keychain – 1,540 yen (about $9.60)
  • Flake Stickers – 660 yen (about $4.10)
  • Hoop Trundling Acrylic Keychain – 1,760 yen (about $11)
  • Record-Shaped Coaster (single) – 660 yen (about $4.10)
  • Record-Shaped Coaster (full box) – 5,280 yen (about $32.80)
  • Rhythm Tweezers Pouch – 3,080 yen (about $19.10)
  • T-Shirt with Silicone Band – 5,280 yen (about $32.80)
  • Reversible Tote Bag – 4,950 yen (about $30.80)

Prices are listed in yen with approximate US dollar conversions provided by Siliconera. As of now, these goods are confirmed only for the Nintendo Tokyo store, leaving international fans to wait and see if a wider release follows.

Seven tracks now streaming on Nintendo Music

On the audio side, Nintendo has added a selection of Rhythm Heaven Groove music to its Nintendo Music streaming app, though Siliconera notes this is not the complete soundtrack. Only seven songs are available at launch through the app or browser player.

The tracks currently listed are “Amazing,” “Hoop Trundling,” “The Monsters 1,” “Play Solo,” “Play with Friends,” “Rhythm Tweezers,” and “Title Screen.” Siliconera points out that two of these songs are also featured in the minigames available through the game’s free eShop demo.

It’s unclear whether Nintendo plans to expand the Nintendo Music selection with additional tracks from the full game down the line. For now, the seven available songs offer a preview of the rhythm-based soundtrack for players who haven’t picked up the game yet.

Availability and how to try the game

Rhythm Heaven Groove is currently available on Nintendo Switch, with a free demo also live on the eShop for players who want to sample the minigames before buying. The demo includes some of the same music now featured on Nintendo Music, giving newcomers an easy way to check out both the gameplay and the soundtrack simultaneously.

Fans hoping to get their hands on the Nintendo Tokyo merchandise outside Japan will need to keep an eye on Nintendo’s official storefronts, as no international release has been confirmed. In the meantime, the Nintendo Music additions offer a free way for the wider fanbase to engage with the game’s tunes regardless of region.
