A literal blast from the past, Shadow of the Ninja has been Reborn in a platform hack and slash true to its 1990’s original.
The year is 2029 and the US has a new overlord, the evil Emperor Garuda.
Only two Ninja’s from the Iga clan can save the nation.
In steps Lord Hayate and Lady Kaede.
A side scrolling action adventure awaits as you either play solo or team up with a mate, each taking one of the two playable characters.
You’ll have your trusty katana and can perform special attacks, this is handy as it can get you out of a jam, but this can also be a detriment to your health.
To say that Shadow of the Ninja Reborn is a challenge is an understatement.
While you are ushered in to play, it gets tricky real quick.
The graphics have been beautifully reskinned and the soundtrack reworked too.
It’s a fast play, although given the challenges you may stall in various parts.
If you were a fan of the original, or weren’t even born when this released over 30 years ago, Shadow of the Ninja Reborn is a fresh take on a epic classic that you need to pick up and play.
