Responsible for an abundance of chart topping hits, Amsterdam’s finest Lady Bee signs to Sweat It Out for the release of her energetic new single ‘Roll It’ featuring the sharp and determined vocal stylings of long time collaborator Tima Dee.

Known affectionately as the leading lady of the global bass and house scene, Lady Bee once again delivers the unique and powerful funk, oozing charisma and magnetism with punchy lyrics, and attitude to match.

Providing some insight on how the production came together, Lady Bee explains, “we started this one by messing around with an analog synthesizer. Once we got the right sound for the bassline and layed down the structure of the track, the vocal really completed it. And also, to get some glitchy fills and variations we really experimented with stretching and pitching the vocals and the bassline to give the track this original and fresh feel’.

With an impressive resume boasting releases across hometown label Mixmash Records, as well as tastemakers around the world Dim Mak, Spinnin’, and Mad Decent, Lady Bee prides herself on positive artist collaborations, by working with a variety of artists and producers across genres, collaborating with the likes of TWRK, Tropkillaz, Alvaro & Mr-Vegas, and MOTi to name a few. But it is her solo work that has left a lasting impression and given her the acclaim she so rightly deserves, with releases including ‘Drop It Down Like’ garnering a staggering 40 million streams across platforms, ‘Bucka’, and ‘Bring The Trumpets’.

Esteemed bass king Minnesota finally dropped his highly-anticipated Curio EP on Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN label earlier this year packing five expertly crafted tracks. Continuing to bring more to the table, Minnesota has continued to take the EP further this fall with a hefty remix package that’s sees Pigeon Hole, Esseks, Partywave and um.. providing the rework treatment.

Minnesota blurred the lines between electronic genres, with the combination of arpeggiated synths, raw dubstep basses and fat, pounding drums to fulfil your every electronic craving. Fulfilling that craving further, Pigeon Hole takes Dark Crystal to darker and deeper realms with its churning rumbles and wubs. Known for treading outside of the usual dubstep and bass realms with his Monsters LP that releases around Halloween each year, FIGURE returns to tell the story of Monsters 9: The Asylum.

Dr Death feat. Dack Janiels is the first single to become available from the LP as we’re introduced to sinister Dr Death and Patient 138 who’s trying make his escape.

Dr Death provides the perfect foundation of what’s to come from The Asylum LP, with disturbing yet impressively weaved vocal samples amongst blood-curdling bass wobbles and ferocious break downs, mimicking an operation within this first chapter. Beneath the narrative is an epically flawless sound design that adds to the terror, giving us just a taste of what’s to follow with an array of beats and tempos to cleverly tell the story.

Josh Gard aka FIGURE initially created is Monster series with Monsters 1 back in 2011, since then, the series has gone from strength to strength making FIGURE a huge house hold name amongst his peers.

Reaching the end of the LP, Bugs For Breakfast continues to reach higher levels of magnitude reinforcing Toadface’s position as a true bass heavy-weight. Black Tiger Sex Machine are directly following up on their sophomore album, New Worlds, with yet another epic collaboration alongside YOOKiE.

Together they created a grisly bass-booming record whose sharp basslines will penetrate to the bone and infect the listener with its rage-ready venom.

“We made Lions one year ago, so we wanted to follow that up with another massive track with the BTSM guys. We didn’t go back and forth too much on it, it kinda just came together naturally. It only makes sense that this track be named Snakes due to its vicious nature. **Hissssssss**” says Yookie.

“Snakes” will be released on the trio’s own label Kannibalen Records.

Both BTSM and YOOKiE will be infecting crowds across North America with this single while they each embark on their own headlining tours this Fall. The Ceremony Tour Part II and the Lords of Bass Tour will ensure “Snakes” slithers into the ears of hundreds of thousands of listeners firsthand.

New tracks in French Bass / Electronic DJ’s Mancubus will take you on a dark trip through electronica.

With his EP (Mancubus) releasing on the 24th of September 2018 I received an early edition to bang my head and trance out to throughout the four tracks.

Depths of Hell is an aptly named addition where you will be entranced in to the darker depths of the underworld. Quickly following up on this one is the chilling horror-esque intro Cash.

The EP’s titled Mancubus plays out as a working factory journey through bass, which leads us in to the final track; Don’t Try  Me as the outro, being visceral mechanical explosion for our senses. This tended to be my pick of choice from the EP due to it’s chaotic collision of mechanised eletronica almost battling with the low riding bass.

Mancubus has taken his signature Electronica and Bass DJ’ing to the deep, dark and beyond.

A must stream or own for the darker, moodier electronic fans.

Mancubus will be releasing on Never Say Die Records.

The rising trio Brohug are back, this time championing up and coming producers ANIMATE, Krooner, Relique & One Day One Coke featuring Blak Trash and Rollerz for Brohouse Vol. 3.

A four track masterpiece, ANIMATE leads the compilation with ILL, a fusion of hurtling synth breakdowns that take centre stage amongst a killer bassline and urban vocal. Next up Krooner shares the recipe for an intricate bass house production in Seth, whilst The Peak from Relique & One Day One Coke Ft Black Trash plunges into dark, club ready territories with glitchy melodies and energetic percussion. Rollerz draws the compilation to an astounding close with Sit, taking a slightly different direction with an authentic retro feel whilst punchy house sounds protrude throughout.

Known for pushing boundaries and placing their own unique mark on the dance scene Brohug enjoy mixing up genres from all around the world. Now they enlist DJs with the same authentic musicality for their esteemed compilation. True DJ elitists, Brohug broke through with 2017 release Ambush amassing over 800K streams whilst this year saw them collaborate with Kaskade for Fun and Tchami for My Place. Continuing to lead electronic music with their own original sound and turning the heads of heavy-weight DJs Diplo, DJ Snake and Oliver Heldens – expect big things to come from the trio this summer.

Fueled by extreme bass the often sounding dark tracks from Mastadon’s new EP will have you on a musical high.

The dubstep DJ has been putting out a mass of albums since 2016 and touring.

His latest iteration Decimate EP comprises of four tracks each individually and uniquely laced with enough mechanical ear crunching beats that will ensure a liquid trance out.

Both dark and light at the same time, tracks such as ‘Dong’ start out light with a quick ramp up to the heavy that is Mastadon’s signature sound.

As ‘Macete’ chops up the EP’s selection, ‘Get Ready’ utilises cleverly placed sound-bites throughout (one of which I’m sure in Nicki Minaj), and then there’s the EP’s namesake, Decimate – which will do just that.

A top shelf dubstep album and a hopeful prelude for more to come. If you’re a dubstep addict, Decimate EP needs to be on your playlist.
