Ubisoft is shaking things up with a brand-new competition format for Rainbow Six Siege, and this one’s open to just about everyone, PC or console, veteran fraggers or total newcomers. The Rainbow Six Siege X Seasonal Series kicks off this year and promises structured competition, real prizes, and plenty of chances to climb the ranks.
Three Phases, One Goal: The Finals
The Seasonal Series runs in three stages: the Open Phase, the Contenders League, and the Finals.
The Open Phase is where it all begins. Every weekend for four weeks, teams jump into a ladder-style system. Your first match is random, but after that you’re matched against squads with similar win–loss records. It keeps things fair, but still competitive.
Only your five best matches from each weekend count towards your leaderboard score, and while you can grind across multiple weekends to improve your rank, you’re not locked into playing every single one.

Once the dust settles, the top eight teams on the leaderboard move on to the Contenders League.
Contenders League and Finals
Here, it’s a two-weekend round robin, every team plays every other team once. Consistency matters big time.
When the round robin’s over:
- The top six teams make the Contenders Finals Weekend, where they battle it out for the title and a cash prize.
- The bottom two don’t go home just yet, they get another shot in the Promise Division Finals.
The Promise Division: Second Chances
If you miss out on Contenders League, the Promise Division keeps the dream alive. It runs for another two weekends, with the same ladder-style format as the Open Phase. Each weekend, the top two squads qualify for the Promise Division Finals. That’s four teams in total, plus the two Contenders League drop-downs, making a six-team playoff.
While the Promise Division Finals don’t have cash prizes, there’s still R6 Credits up for grabs, and the bragging rights of proving you belong among the best.
Seasonal Structure and Prizes
This isn’t a one-and-done tournament. The Seasonal Series will return with Summer, Autumn, and Winter editions, so you’ll have multiple chances to sharpen your strats and push for glory.
