The King of Clash Royale Does It Again
The Clash Royale League 2025 World Finals at DreamHack Atlanta delivered a story worthy of esports legend. In a tournament filled with upsets, flawless decks, and impossible comebacks, one name stood above them all, Mohammed “Mohammed Light” Tarek, who secured his third World Championship title and a back-to-back win after dominating the bracket reset with a perfect sweep.
Twelve of the world’s best players entered the 2025 World Finals, each having fought through intense qualifiers and Gold Edition events. But when the dust settled, it was once again Mohammed Light raising the trophy, proving why he’s widely regarded as the greatest Clash Royale player of all time.

Falling to Cal Sub — Then Rising from the Ashes
Mohammed Light’s journey wasn’t without setbacks. After a strong run through the upper bracket, he faced Cal Sub from SK Calalas in the Upper Semi Finals, and lost 2 – 1. It was his only defeat of the entire tournament, and for a moment, it looked like the Egyptian superstar might finally fall short.

But as it turned out, that loss only fuelled him.
That hunger turned literal and metaphorical. After dropping to the Lower Bracket, Light tore through his opponents one by one — defeating Ian77 (2–0), then overpowering Cal Sandbox (2–1) and PedroTM (3–1) in the Lower Bracket Final to earn a rematch against Cal Sub in the Grand Final.
The Grand Final: A 6-0 Statement
The final showdown between Mohammed Light and Cal Sub was not just a rematch, it was a statement.
In the first Grand Final, Light completely turned the tables, sweeping Cal Sub 3–0 to trigger the bracket reset. With both players now even on losses, it all came down to one last best-of-five.
Light didn’t just win. He swept again, 3–0, delivering a flawless 6–0 total victory across both series. The crowd erupted as Light secured his third CRL World Championship title, becoming the undisputed king of Clash Royale esports. Light later joked,
“Sub only beat me because I was hungry.”
A Legacy Cemented
With this win, Mohammed Light takes home the $200,000 USD grand prize and etches his name even deeper into Clash Royale history. His opponent, Cal Sub, earned $100,000 USD as runner-up, while PedroTM and Cal Sandbox, both also from SK Calalas, rounded out the top four.
Light’s unmatched consistency, adaptability, and nerves of steel once again proved too much for the competition. From crushing lower-bracket pressure to dismantling his only conqueror in a perfect sweep, his 2025 run is already being hailed as one of the greatest comebacks in Clash Royale League history.
The Clash Royale Esports Season Ends with a Bang
The 2025 CRL season saw twelve elite competitors representing the best of the Gold Edition qualifiers and leaderboard points. With hundreds of thousands watching the DreamHack Atlanta finals both live and online, this year’s finale delivered everything fans hoped for, passion, skill, and a champion worthy of the crown.
But in the end, there was only one player who could hold the crown. Mohammed Light, now a three-time world champion, continues to reign supreme.
