Streamer and former Counter-Strike pro Erik “fl0m” Flom has officially announced fl0m’s Mythical LAN, a brand-new $30,000 CS event set to take place at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas from January 9–11, 2026.

Backed by Monster Energy, the three-day event will feature eight of North America’s top-ranked teams from the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) system. Unlike online qualifiers or closed studio events, this one will be played in front of a live audience of 500 fans, bringing old-school LAN vibes back to the North American scene.

“Honestly, I could easily say this is a dream coming true for me,” fl0m said during the announcement. “Just being honest, I’m trying to rip off Beyond The Summit. It was super cool — the players were always relaxed, but there were no fans. So now I’m basically taking the HyperX Arena and making it the house.”

A Tier-Two Showdown for North America

fl0m’s Mythical LAN (also called FML 2026) is designed as a tier-two ranked event under the Americas VRS system, with a specific focus on the North American sub-region.

Eight invited teams will be determined through the November 2025 VRS update, with invitations starting from regional rank 1 and moving down until all eight slots are filled. However, teams currently sitting in the global top 12 will be ineligible to participate.

The competition will use a GSL best-of-three group stage, followed by a single-elimination playoff, ensuring that every match counts. Seeding will be based on the January 2026 VRS standings.

Prize Pool Breakdown

The total $30,000 prize pool will be split as follows:

  • 1st place: $12,500
  • 2nd place: $7,000
  • 3–4th place:** $3,000 each
  • 5–6th place:** $1,250 each
  • 7–8th place:** $1,000 each
