Since then, growth has skyrocketed. According to Tencent’s Q3 earnings presentation, the Valorant franchise more than doubled its monthly players from July to October, surpassing 50 million MAU. PC numbers surged as well, with DAU and gross receipts hitting record highs in September thanks to new esports-themed weapon bundles.

This momentum also helped Tencent record a 15 percent year-over-year revenue increase, underlining how central Valorant Mobile has already become to the company’s wider portfolio.

A New Mobile Esports Ecosystem Is Taking Shape

Valorant Mobile’s Chinese launch has not only been successful as a game release, but also as the foundation of a brand new esports scene.

The first LAN tournament has already taken place, and China’s national circuit is set to wrap up in December 2025. The scale and structure of these events suggest a vision to mirror the popularity and professionalism of Valorant’s PC ecosystem, especially in regions where mobile gaming thrives.

According to them, Riot and Tencent are simply waiting for the results of China’s National Finals. If the event concludes as strongly as expected, the worldwide rollout could begin sooner rather than later.

The Finals wrap in December 2025, and based on ongoing speculation, an announcement may arrive before the end of the year. Many industry watchers now believe an early 2026 release is the most likely scenario.
