FaZe Clan has moved to publicly distance itself from several of its former members after a controversy involving Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira and Nordan “Rain” Shat spilled across social media last week.

On September 15, FaZe Clan shared a tweet listing its current roster of personalities and pro esports teams, making it clear that anyone not included has no affiliation with the organisation.

The timing of the announcement comes in the middle of a messy fallout between Rain, Temperrr, and other former FaZe figures, including ex-CEO Ricky “Banks” Bengston.

The Allegations

The drama began on September 14, when Rain revealed during a livestream that part of the reason he left FaZe back in April 2024 was because of an alleged “pedophile situation” involving someone within the group.

Rain later clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that he was referring to Temperrr. He explained that he had admired Temperrr for years but felt he could no longer stand beside him after what he had learned.

Temperrr’s Response

Initially, Temperrr posted a video strongly denying the accusations, calling them “insane” and claiming Rain was trying to blackmail him. But just hours later, he shared a second video admitting to a sexual encounter years ago with a 17-year-old in New York.

Temperrr insisted he had no knowledge of her age at the time and that he was “extremely uncomfortable” once he found out. While 17 is legally the age of consent in New York, the revelation sparked immediate backlash online.

“Yesterday I watched someone I once called a brother go online, call me a pedophile, and laugh about it. Today, I was cut off the roster. And instead of a call or text, I was just cut off the roster today. No conversation. Nothing from the people I stood beside for over a decade,” Temperrr said.

Banks’ Clarification

Amid the chaos, Banks stepped in to confirm that he was not the subject of Rain’s comments. He explained that a private call between himself, Rain, Apex, and Temperrr had touched on the allegations, with Temperrr denying any wrongdoing at the time.

FaZe Clan’s Position

For FaZe Clan, the priority now seems to be drawing a clear line between the current organisation and its past. By publishing a definitive roster, which includes Adapt, Apex, Jev, Rug, Scope, Swagg, ZooMaa, and more, the group has made it plain that former members involved in this controversy are no longer connected.

As of now, FaZe Clan has not issued a separate official statement addressing the allegations directly.

The situation continues to develop, but one thing is clear: FaZe is intent on moving forward without some of the biggest names that once defined the brand.
