CookieRun OvenBreak is levelling up its competitive scene in a big way. Devsisters has officially confirmed the first-ever CookieRun OvenBreak World Championship 2025, and the full schedule, maps, and prize pool have now been revealed. Fans can already dive into all the details through the newly launched esports site, which went live on September 1st.

The Road to the World Championship

The action begins on 20 September 2025, with players battling it out in the Regional Preliminaries across four themed divisions: Glacier, Ocean, Plains, and Desert. Each group will feature eight competitors in a round robin format, with the top two advancing to the Semi-Finals and Finals. From there, the regional winners will head to Seoul, South Korea, for the offline World Championship LAN on 25–26 October.

This is shaping up to be the biggest moment yet for the CookieRun competitive scene. While OvenBreak has hosted tournaments before, including the 2024 CookieRun Tournament and the 2025 Global Invitational, this marks the first truly global championship.

Unique Maps and Match Rules

One of the quirks that makes the CookieRun OvenBreak World Championship 2025 so exciting is its map variety and special rules. Each of the eight maps brings its own twist to the competition, forcing players to adapt their strategy every round.

For example:

  • Beneath the Lilies rewards players who scoop up Lotus Gems for massive point bonuses.
  • Terrifying Bear Jelly Forest pushes competitors to spam Yellow Bear Jellies while avoiding the useless Bitter ones.
  • Boiling Stock Village flips the script by rewarding players for smashing through obstacles instead of dodging them.
  • Moonlit Bamboo Grove limits jumps to just 300, testing precision under pressure.

And that’s only a taste. With maps like Torch-lit Trial, Sprinkled Ice Cream Land, and the flashy Temple of the Sun Central Arena, no two matches will play out the same. The constantly changing conditions are bound to keep both players and spectators on edge.
