The MongolZ are proving to be Vitality’s kryptonite in 2025. The Mongolian squad has now beaten the Austin Major champions twice in quick succession, this time in Saudi Arabia, to lock in their place in the Esports World Cup grand final.

It’s a massive statement from bLitz and his team, who have not only become the only side to topple Vitality twice this year but also done it when it mattered most.

Vitality’s Dominance Slips

For much of the year, Vitality looked untouchable. Seven titles in a row and a frightening winstreak made them the team to beat after the Austin Major. But things have wobbled since the mid-season break. They first fell to MOUZ at IEM Cologne, then to The MongolZ at the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals last weekend, and now once again in Riyadh.

Vitality had been The MongolZ’s nightmare match-up earlier this year, taking six out of their seven meetings. That run finally snapped in Malta, when the Mongolian side found their first win over the European powerhouse. This latest result, however, shows it wasn’t just a one-off.

The Maps, A Twist in the Veto

The veto had a different flavour this time. The MongolZ stuck with their trusty Mirage pick, while Vitality threw a curveball by going for Dust2 and leaving Nuke as the decider instead of Inferno.

On Mirage, The MongolZ came out flying. A double entry from bLitz set the tone as Vitality faltered with uncharacteristic mistakes. FlameZ left ZywOo stranded in one round and over-pushed into his death the next. While ZywOo and mezii managed to claw back a few rounds with some sharp multi-kills, The MongolZ held firm. With Deagle heroics from Senzu and 910 sealing the deal, they closed their map 13–8.

Dust2 was a different story. Vitality’s Robin “ropz” Kool opened with a pistol ace and later pulled off a 1v2 clutch, propelling his side to an early lead. Though The MongolZ narrowed what was once a brutal 1–8 deficit, Vitality’s captain apEX found a miracle with two MAG-7 frags to turn the tide. That momentum carried them through to even up the series.

Techno’s Masterclass on Nuke

It all came down to Nuke, and this is where Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold put on one of the best maps of his career. Holding the CT side like a fortress, he dismantled Vitality’s attacks again and again, powering The MongolZ to a staggering 9–0 lead before their opponents could even respond.

Vitality scraped together two rounds before the half and tried to hang on with flashes of brilliance from ZywOo, ropz, and apEX. But it was never enough. Techno and 910 combined for key doubles in the closing stretch, shutting down any chance of a comeback.

Techno finished with a monstrous 27–11 K/D, a sky-high 148.3 ADR, and his second-best LAN performance ever, numbers that speak for themselves.

What’s Next?

With this victory, The MongolZ have secured a historic spot in the EWC grand final. More importantly, they’ve shown that Vitality’s stranglehold over them is well and truly broken. If they can ride this momentum all the way, we might be seeing one of the biggest underdog runs of the year turn into a championship moment.

Video game music label Firaga Records is set to release the latest album from artist RoBKTA, Ridge Racer Infinity, a high octane album inspired by the classic arcade racing series Ridge Racer.

The album features 10 tracks including On Your Way (from “R4: Ridge Racer Type 4”), Drivin’ U 2 Dacin’ (from “Ridge Racer Revolution”), and Blue Topaz (from “Rave Racer”) with collaborations from Andrew Elmore, Tudd, RoboRob and Virix Dreamcore.

“Ridge Racer is possibly the one video game series that stuck the most with me musically,” says artist RoBKTA, “Ridge Racer Infinity constitutes the album I always wanted to produce to show my love for the series and I am humbled and lucky to have by my side great talents to collaborate with.”

One of Ridge Racer’s original composers, Kohta Takahashi, had this to say about RoBKTA’s album, “RoBKTA’s love for Ridge Racer is unbelievable. I have been listening to his arrangements for over 10 years now and have been encouraged and inspired by them as one of Ridge Racer’s original composers.”

Ridge Racer Infinity is available on popular streaming services. The album is also available on CD and cassette tape now.

GRAMMY Award-winning, RIAA platinum-certified international icon Tiësto and Beatport, announced today “The Motto Global Remix Challenge,” inviting ambitious DJs and producers around the world to submit their own original spin on Tiësto & Ava Max’s worldwide dance anthem, “The Motto.”

The winning entry will be released on Atlantic Records later this year; runner-up prizes will also be awarded. Last year’s Global Remix Challenge for Tiësto’s “The Business Pt I + II (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)” was the biggest remix contest in Beatport, LabelRadar, and Atlantic Records’ history.

The challenge begins Monday, March 14th 2022, and producers from all genres are encouraged to register for the contest at LabelRadar. Participants can download the stems directly by heading over to the Remix Challenge Landing Page and can sign up for Loopcloud to receive additional sample packs. Participants must submit their remix to LabelRadar by Friday, April 1st, 2022 at midnight pacific time. Following the deadline, Tiësto will judge the remixes alongside Atlantic Records via LabelRadar. After selecting the top submissions, the tracks will be posted online, and the global dance music community will vote and help choose the winning remix.

The grand prize winner will secure an official release on Atlantic Records, a music production prize package worth over $10,000, which includes Genelec 8341A Studio Monitors, social support from Tiësto, Beatport, and the other remix challenge partners. Three runners-up will also receive prizes such as Tiësto’s The Next Beat Controller, playlist support on Beatport, support on Beatportal, and subscriptions to Beatport LINK, Loopcloud, Reason, and more.

“The Motto” has proven an international blockbuster since its release last November, reaching the top 5 on Billboard’s “Dance / Electronic Songs” chart while earning more than 408M worldwide streams thus far. It is the 3rd single from Tiësto’s upcoming album on Atlantic Records. The official music video which features Ava Max and Tiësto, was directed by Christian Breslauer (The Weeknd, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat) and currently boasts over 47M views via YouTube.

The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and on the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard. “The Motto” was further joined by an exclusive remix by GRAMMY Award-nominated, multi-platinum German DJ / Producer Robin Schulz, available now at all DSPs and streaming services.

Following on from a slew of singles on Ultra Music, Mirko Di Florio returns for yet another release alongside Dennis Beutler for Dirty Dancing.

Mirko Di Florio’s early career saw him play local clubs around Italy, where he harnessed his production and mixing skills, before going onto prick the ears of the circuit with his evergreen house music.

Fast forward several years and today Mirko is a regular on some of the most esteemed house labels including; Solotoko, Armada, Relief, Area10 and more recently, Ultra Music.

Among his impressive collection of Ultra Music tracks, in the last year alone Mirko Di Florio has also released via Repopulate Mars alongside Dennis Beutler, and on Emerald City, where the label boss himself (Jaime Jones) even went on to remix Electric Brain as part of the EP release.
