Capcom’s genre-defining survival horror franchise reaches a monumental milestone today with the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil.

Over the years, the popular series has shipped more than 107 million units, introduced some of video games’ most iconic characters and gameplay systems, and transcended beyond games to become a cornerstone of entertainment.

The next hotly anticipated entry in the game series is coming soon with Resident Evil Village releasing worldwide May 7th, 2021 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam and newly confirmed Stadia.

Ahead of the launch, Capcom confirmed a new Resident Evil Showcase digital event will be coming in April and announced details for an open beta test for the upcoming multiplayer experience Resident Evil Re:Verse.

New game details will be revealed in a new Resident Evil Showcase digital event in April, giving fans a look at what’s in store for them when Resident Evil Village launches on May 7th, 2021.

The Resident Evil Showcase in January revealed information on significant new gameplay features and characters for Resident Evil Village as well as other brand updates, and the April event will follow suit with new game content and 25th anniversary news to share.

An all-star roster of fan favorite heroes and bioweapons come together to celebrate 25 years of Resident Evil in the upcoming multiplayer experience Resident Evil Re:Verse.

In Resident Evil Re:Verse, players start as human characters, hunting each other and collecting virus vials scattered across the map. When they are taken out, they resurrect as bioweapons to enact revenge. The more vials they collect, the stronger their bioweapon transformation will be – it will be up to each player to strategize between vial collection and a full-on offensive strategy. This thank you to fans will be available for free for those who purchase Resident Evil Village.

Today Capcom announced PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam players can participate in an open beta test for Resident Evil Re:Verse taking place April 7th at 23:00 h PDT / April 8th 07:00 h BST / 08:00 h CEST / 16:00 h AEST, through to April 11th at 22:59 h PDT / April 12th 06:59 h BST / 07:59 h CEST / 16:59 h AEST.

Players who participated in the earlier closed beta test and still have the game installed on their hardware can play via a game update once the open beta is live. New players will be able to pre-load the open beta content starting April 5th, 2021.

All open beta participants will need a registered Capcom ID to play.

Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the next instalment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, will release on November 10th, 2020 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, as well as on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service, and Stadia. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion will both be launch titles on the Xbox Series X | S, and will release on PlayStation 5 upon the launch of the console.

Watch Dogs: Legion will release on October 29th, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, as well as on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service, and Stadia.

With both releases available for the launch of the new Xbox Series X | S, Ubisoft brings players an opportunity to enter the next generation gaming experience with two of its most iconic franchises. Today at Ubisoft Forward, the company announced Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known as Gods & Monsters, will be available worldwide on December 3, 2020 for Stadia, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch system, PlayStation 4, Epic Games, the Ubisoft Store, UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service and will release on PlayStation 5 upon the launch of the console.

Developed by the team at Ubisoft Quebec, creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is an exciting new IP that takes grand mythological adventure to new heights.  Players will embody Fenyx, a new winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods and their home from a dark curse. Only by mastering the legendary powers of the gods, overcoming heroic trials and confronting powerful mythological beasts, will Fenyx be able to take on Typhon, the deadliest Titan in Greek mythology.

Today during Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 is currently in development and will release February 18th, 2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, as well as on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service.

With performances from renowned actor and Emmy Award Nominee Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, The Boys, The Mandalorian) joined by Anthony Gonzalez (Coco), a score created by film and television composer Pedro Bromfman (Narcos), and an opening sequence directed by Emmy Award winner Patrick Clair (Westworld, True Detective), Far Cry 6 brings in Hollywood-calibre talent to bolster the narrative experience.

Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, Far Cry 6 plunges players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. President Antón Castillo (Esposito) vows to restore his country to its former glory while grooming his son Diego (Gonzalez) to follow in his footsteps. Yet paradise has a price, and enriching his country means subjugating those who don’t adhere to his vision. Codemasters have revealed the next generation of racing with the announcement of DIRT 5, launching from October 2020 on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (via Steam) and the current generation of Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Fully optimised for all platforms, DIRT 5 is a new heart-pounding off-road driving experience set against a sensory backdrop of vibrant visuals, an eclectic soundtrack, and dynamic weather conditions. 

DIRT 5’s global journey takes in some of the most thrilling, exotic, and picturesque settings such as New York City and Rio de Janeiro alongside challenging events in remote areas of Greece and China. Players will experience the thrill of in-your-face extreme racing in a variety of vehicle classes from buggies, unlimited trucks, and rock bouncers to traditional and modern rally cars. 

The expansive narrative-driven Career is bigger in every way with event types and challenges across some of the toughest terrain. Before hitting the track, get creative using the livery editor, with more customisation options than any previous DIRT game. DIRT 5 features a non-linear progression path, so players can choose more of the events they want. 

DIRT 5 heralds the return of split-screen for up to four players. The full list of game modes will be announced shortly, including a new game mode focused on creativity and designed for social couch play with friends or global online battles against the best racers in the DIRT universe.

Developed by the team behind Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins at Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla invites players to live the saga of Eivor, a fierce Viking raider raised on tales of battle and glory. 2K, together with Gearbox Software, today announced that Borderlands 3is now available on Google Stadia, providing a whole new way for fans to enjoy one of this year’s biggest blockbuster games.

Stadia users in all 14 countries where Stadia is currently available can now find the game in Stadia’s digital storefront and start playing immediately upon purchase – no download necessary!

The Stadia version of Borderlands 3can be played in 4K with the proper TV setup using the Stadia Controller and Google Chromecast Ultra. The game can also be enjoyed on laptop and desktop computers, as well as select tablets and phones that are connected to Wi-Fi. For more information, check out the official Stadia page.

At launch, the Stadia version of the game will reflect all updates and fixes that were released through October 24.
