Ubisoft’s annual edition of Just Dance contains enough booty shaking tracks and routines for you to get your groove on going solo or with friends.

Released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch Just Dance 2019 is aimed at all gamers and all console owners.

PlayStation is the only console that utilises a camera, with Xbox oddly having killed off their Kinect some time back (why Xbox, why????).

Even hybrid console owners; Switch are not left off the dance floor with the motion sensor joycons being your instruments of the hip sway. As the Switch is portable – you can get footloose on the bus, on the train, at work, anywhere.

For those that do not have a PlayStation Camera or Xbox gamers that have no motion or camera technology whatsoever, your smartphone turns you in to the dancing queen of your household.

Downloading Ubisoft’s Just Dance App makes use of your smartphones gyro and connects via Bluetooth to your console.

Featuring tracks from Daddy Yankee, Bruno Mars, The Weekend Ft. Daft Punk, Britney Spears, The Weekend, Arianna Grande and more ensures that there is a song and dance routine for all.

With up to six players able to duke it out or do a choreographed breathtaking spectacular at one time, this is the dance battle game to showcase those moves.

If you have somehow not played a Just Dance title before – to sum it up you are guided onscreen by dancers to preset dances per track. Basically you mimic what you see on screen. Both rewarding play and a workout at the same time.

Kids mode features in Just Dance 2019 aswell. Eight of the younger members of your dance troop can bounce about the living room at one time with specially created kid friendly routines.

A party game that gets you off the couch and off the wall as you bust a groove to the wonderment of onlookers.

Ubisoft announced that Just Dance 2019 will be available on October 25th, 2018 in Australia and New Zealand on most gaming platforms, including Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Wii, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4. Ubisoft also announced that the Just Dance World Cup will return with its 5th Annual competition, this time heading to Brazil for the Grand Finals in early 2019.

Just Dance 2019 brings the party to players with 40 new songs ranging from chart-toppers like “Finesse (Remix)” by Bruno Mars ft. Cardi B and k-pop classic “Bang Bang Bang” by BIGBANG. Plus, keep the party going with one-month access to over 400 more songs through Just Dance^® Unlimited, the dance-on-demand streaming service, included with every copy of Just Dance 2019! New for this year, Just Dance partnered with creative experts from around the world, like French street artist Chanoir and Spanish stop-motion studio Clay Animation to creating stunning universes for the game. More partnerships are to be announced alongside new songs soon.

Just Dance 2019’s new interface algorithm learns players’ dancing preferences and habits and curates pre-made playlists and song suggestions, making the Just Dance experience more intuitive and personalised than ever before. Players can also stay up-to-date on community news and Just Dance Unlimited events all year long with the dynamic new home screen.

Fan-favourite modes  also make their return, such as World Dance Floor (available on all current gen platforms), bringing more online multiplayer challenges to its 120 million players worldwide, the calorie-tracking Sweat Mode, and the Kids Mode, bringing eight new choreographies developed alongside childhood development experts.

Available on PS4 and Xbox One, the Just Dance Controller App makes the game more accessible for current-gen owners with its phone scoring technology that allows players to dance without any additional accessories like cameras, available for free on iOS and Android.

The Just Dance World Cup is also back, with the Grand Finals happening in Brazil in early 2019. Online qualifiers will be live in the Just Dance 2018 edition of the game from July the 20th to August the 26th, 2018 on Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and will be followed by national offline qualifiers in select countries. The list of the offline qualifier events and details on the Grand Finals will be unveiled soon HERE . The competition will be fierce once again as dancers compete to get one of the 18 coveted finalist slots in Brazil, and defeat the two-time World Champion, 18-year old Umutcan Tütüncü from Turkey.

Ubisoft has revealed to us at StG the latest details on the Just Dance World Cup (JDWC) 2017 Finals, occurring February 17-19th, 2017 during the eSports World Convention in Paris. For the third year, Ubisoft is partnering with ESWC, a pioneering and leading international eSports event organization, to welcome the 18 worldwide Just Dancers who won the qualifying rounds of JDWC 2017. Finalists will perform choreography from Just Dance 2017 and Just Dance Unlimited, including party favorite tracks like “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” by Beyoncé, “Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira Ft Wyclef Jean, “Bailar” by Deorro Ft. Elvis Crespo and classics like “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen or “Walk This Way” by Run-DMC & Aerosmith.

The Just Dance World Cup 2017 winner will have a rare opportunity to visit the Ubisoft Paris studio for one week, to meet the team and work with the developers, costume designers, choreographers and dancers on a special song that will be created and integrated into the game through Just Dance Unlimited for the next JDWC.

With ages from 13 to 31 years old, participants hail from different countries around the globe including Australia’s very own entrant Just Denz “Denzal”, but are united in their passion for Just Dance. The two-time World Champion Diegho San, from Brazil, will defend his title in front of thousands of live spectators and fans and millions more online. During the three days of the JDWC, players will face off in a series of best-of-three matches to advance to the next round. Both the player’s game score and a jury of Just Dance and choreography experts will ultimately decide who takes the trophy home this year.

“The JDWC is the opportunity for everyone, regardless of where they come from, to come here to compete and that’s awesome. It brings people from all around the globe, only connected through JDWC and it allows the Just Dance family to grow even bigger,” said Diegho San, Just Dance 2014 & 2015 World Champion.

“The JDWC fulfills our ambition to make the whole world dance,” said Marine de La Seiglière, Just Dance Executive Producer. “The JDWC brings a unique touch to the world of eSport competition: not only is this the perfect match between video games and physical activity, but this is a really entertaining spectacle! This year, the online qualifiers in the World Dancefloor mode on next-gen consoles reached a record with an 83% increase in online participation compared to the 2016 Just Dance World Cup. This promising participation rate supports Just Dance’s ambition to unite worldwide competitors with Just Dancers, in an effort to democratize eSports for all.

Ubisoft has released Just Dance 2017, the latest installment of the top-selling music game franchise, available on Wii U, Wii, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 today and for the first time in the history of the franchise, the game will be launched digitally on Windows PC.

Just Dance 2017 will also be available on Nintendo Switch™ in March 2017.

Today, Ubisoft announced a free Just Dance 2016 demo on new-gen consoles for players using the Just Dance Controller App. The one song demo is “Blame” by Calvin Harris Ft. John Newman and is now available to download on Nintendo’s Wii U, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The latest installment in the music /  game franchise will launch on October 22nd, 2015 in Australia and New Zealand.

The free Just Dance Controller App, now available for Apple and Android devices and soon to be available also for Windows Phone devices, enables players on new-gen consoles to play Just Dance 2016 without any peripherals or added console cameras. The app transforms the player’s smartphone into a true controller that tracks the accuracy of their moves and allows them to navigate intuitively through the game.  To play the demo using the Just Dance Controller App on their smartphones, players can simply follow the steps below.

On Xbox One players also have the choice to access the demo using Kinect for Xbox One.

1. Download the Just Dance Controller app to their Apple or Android smartphone

Today, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Ubisoft announced Just Dance  2016.

Just Dance 2016 will be released on October 22nd, 2015 in Australia and New Zealand on all motion-control gaming platforms, including Nintendo’s Wii and Wii U system, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 . Just Dance 2016 will feature tracks from artists like Jason Derulo, Mark Ronson Ft. Bruno Mars, Meghan Trainor, Calvin Harris Ft. John Newman and Lady Gaga.

To help announce Just Dance 2016 at Ubisoft’s press conference, pop star Jason Derulo performed “Want To Want Me,” his track from the game. The song marks his fourth no.1 pop airplay single and the 11th platinum single for the hit-maker.

The free Just Dance Controller App enables players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U to use their Apple, Android, or Windows Phone devices to play the game without any peripherals or added console cameras. The app transforms the player’s phone into a motion sensor that tracks the accuracy of their moves and allows them to navigate through the game.

“The resurgence in the music games genre has been thrilling to watch in the lead up to E3 and we’re as optimistic as ever about the future of music gaming,” said Jason Altman, Executive Producer. “Last year Just Dance franchise sales reached 54 million units, and we’re very proud to make a game that is loved by so many. Just Dance 2016 also brings back fan-favorite features like Sweat & Playlists, along with all-new game modes exclusive to new-gen consoles, including:

• Dance Quests Mode: Players can unlock dance quests for a chance to “beat the game” for the first time ever. In each quest, players will play a series of three songs for a chance to advance to the next set of dance quest challenges.
• Dance Party Mode: In the Dance Party mode, players can dance along with their friends and family in the classic rival mode or dance together to get the highest collective score as a group in the first ever co-op mode.
• World Video Challenge: The all-new World Video Challenge allows players to send videos of their performances to challenge friends from all around the world and dance to their scores as if they were in the same room!

After seeing the success of local tracks in their countries of origin in previous editions of Just Dance, the team committed to making localised content available for worldwide fans everywhere.

As Just Dance Now is playable with devices you already own, it has a global reach that brings great opportunities by exploring new territories that love to dance.

“We collaborate with our local offices all over the world to stay on the pulse of pop music and determine the most popular regional songs for the game”, said Jason Altman, Executive Producer. “With India Waale, our Pune, India studio identified and ultimately secured this hugely popular song for us. To get the India Waale map for Just Dance Now, players can download the app for free on Google Play or on the App Store. Additionally, it will be available in January for download on every platform in Just Dance 2015.
