Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role once again as Laurie Strode. The long suffering victim and survivor of Michael Myers. Her lifetime boogeyman.

Halloween Ends takes classic jump scares and uses subliminal fears in order to get through an otherwise awkward story. with questionable chemistry between the two leading characters.

From an initial accident while babysitting, Corey Cunningham’s (Rohan Campbell) life is changed forever.

Timid, shy and scared he soon connects up with Allyson Nelson (Andi Matichak), Laurie’s grand daughter.

But as Corey’s world begins to darken within the paranoid township of Haddonfield he begins to pull in Allyson who is also unhappy with her existence.

What no one knows is that he is becoming a protege of Myers.

What plays out is twisted and surprising with a conclusion that is the films namesake.

I’ll say no more as to not give any spoilers.

Halloween Ends while a good watch, the storyline tended to be a bit fractured and seemingly patched together, and is a direct continuation from the 2021 film Halloween Kills.

While not the best film in the franchise, if you are a John Carpenter fan, and love the Halloween films (like I do) see Halloween Ends, this Halloween season.

Disney+ has just released the trailer for The Muppets’ first-ever Halloween special.

Starring in the special alongside fan-favourite Muppets, are Will Arnett (as The Ghost Host), Yvette Nicole Brown (as The Hearse Driver), Darren Criss (as The Caretaker), and Taraji P. Henson (as The Bride).

In “Muppets Haunted Mansion” the Great Gonzo – world famous daredevil artiste, has done it all, seen it all, and survived it all.

But on Halloween night, the fearless Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending one very daring night in the most grim grinning place on Earth …The Haunted Mansion.

“Muppets Haunted Mansion” will also feature special appearances from Chrissy Metz (as Harriet), Alfonso Ribeiro (as Fred), Edward Asner (as Claude), Jeannie Mai (as Maude), Danny Trejo (as Huet), Sasheer Zamata (as Mary), Craig Robinson (as Bust), Skai Jackson (as Bust), Pat Sajak (as Bust), Geoff Keighley (as Bust), Justina Machado (as Bust), John Stamos (as Himself) and Kim Irvine (as Haunted Mansion Maid).

The “Muppets Haunted Mansion” EP will be set for release on Friday, October 8 from Walt Disney Records and will include three new original songs titled “Rest in Peace,” “Life Hereafter” and “Tie the Knot Tango,” plus a cover of “Dancing in the Moonlight.”

Disney+ has just debuted key art and announced the cast for “LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales,” which premieres October 1, 2021 as a part of Disney+’s Hallowstream celebration.

The all-new animated special from Lucasfilm and the LEGO Group continues the rich legacy of collaboration between Lucasfilm and the LEGO brand and is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy, just in time for Halloween.

“LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales” features a talented voice cast that includes Jake Green as Poe Dameron; Raphael Alejandro as Dean; Dana Snyder as Graballa the Hutt; Tony Hale as Vaneé; Christian Slater as Ren; Trevor Devall as Emperor Palpatine; Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as NI-L8; and Matt Sloan as Darth Vader. David Shayne is writer and executive producer, and the director is Ken Cunningham.

James Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone and Jason Cosler are executive producers. “LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales” is produced in collaboration with Atomic Cartoons.

After the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel.

While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé.

Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artefacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges.

With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.

Gonzo and Pepe the King Prawn announced the Muppets first-ever Halloween special, “Muppets Haunted Mansion,” debuting this spring exclusively on Disney+.

The brand-new special will feature a star-studded Muppets cast, celebrity cameos, all-new music and spooky fun for families to enjoy together. The announcement was made to help celebrate the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products’ “Halfway to Halloween” event.

“Muppets Haunted Mansion” takes place on Halloween night, when Gonzo is challenged to spend one very daring night in the most grim grinning place on Earth …The Haunted Mansion.

Multi-faceted rock artist and fashion designer Brocarde is back with a new powerful single, Twisted, alongside a gothic horror epic video (watch above), a chilling accompaniment to the Halloween season.

Written by Brocarde herself, Twisted in the artist own words is “an anthem to diminish all boxes and preconceived notions and a rally cry to tear up the rule book, a refusal to be limited by others’ imaginations. It’s an anthem for all those who feel judged and misrepresented”.

In its composition, Twisted is the most simplistic song from the trained opera vocalist upcoming album, while the self-directed visual it’s a twisted circus of horrors in which the artist brings her imagination to life from set dressing and costume design to editing.

Speaking on the video and its connection to the lyrics and meaning, Brocarde says; “I’m essentially watching my own life play out as if I’m not part of it. I’m studying myself being pulled in multiple directions and I’m watching myself be manipulated to the point of fear and suppression. It has dark undertones and sadistic notes, I wanted to make myself uncomfortable, hence having knives thrown in my face, it’s actually terrifying to watch some of that footage back and to see how close I was to being hit with a blade”.

Twisted follows the release of the ‘Love Me ‘Till I’m Beautiful’ EP, released in July 2020, which saw Brocarde teaming up with Korn’s legendary drummer Ray Luzier. Clocking over 800,000 streams across platforms, while the video for the lead single reached nearly 1 million YouTube plays to date. The EP also featured the trained opera singer’s powerful coronavirus-inspired track, ‘World Upside Down’, for which the video was filmed on her phone during lockdown.

With Twisted Brocarde once again shows that she is a bold artist, armed with infinite creativity and equipped with a matchless voice.

This date gives most people a tinge of satisfying fear of the boogeyman. 40 years ago – it struck terror as the masked Michael Myers silently crept out on to the silver screen and introduced us to new terrors and the now horror cliché of killing babysitters.

In 1978 movie goers flocked to the cinemas to be frightened on Halloween by a film of the same name.

A deranged serial killer wielding a knife and wearing a mask, getting stabby on on the night of the supernatural.

This set in motion the introduction of one of the horror genres most iconic and recognisable figures, the silent but deadly Michael Myers created by horror master John Carpenter.

Halloween (2018) is a direct follow on from the 1978 classic. Four decades have passed and Michael is safely locked up in Smith Grove Sanitarium, a mental asylum.

Two podcasters, Aaron Korey and Dana Haines come in to the Myers’ hometown of Haddonfield to try and interview Michael.

Flanked by Michael’s new doctor Dr. Ranbir Sartain, the two British journalists try and get a rise from the ever silent Myers by showing him his mask. The mask that we all know. The mask that seems to have a life of its own.

After meeting Michael, they track down Michael’s sisters Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis who played the original Laurie Strode in the 1978 film). The sister that survived the family slaughtering on Halloween decades ago. The one that got away.

Knowing that her brother, Michael, is about to be transferred to a different Institution, Laurie, who is now a bad-ass yet reclusive grandmother, has been training for years to kill her brother, knowing that if he escaped, he would come for her.

Halloween (2018) is superbly crafted by Jason Blum (Producer of The Conjuring and Insidious films) and doesn’t lose track from the 1978 original.

There are a few moments in the film that pay homage to the original, yup, there is even a babysitter moment.

But, Halloween (2018) Is more than just a modern day classic / teenager slasher flick, there is real substance to the Myers family story in what is on the face of it, an eye for an eye, revenge plot.

I’ve never tired with the Halloween franchise of films (Michael Myers has always been my fav horror character). While Halloween H20 was ‘okay’ yet a little misaligned and taking advantage of the ‘Millennium’ craze at the time, the series has had a few sequels and even a couple of artistic but fully enjoyable Rob Zombie remakes. Halloween (2018) isn’t just a horror film for the spooky season, it is what fans of the original had been waiting for.

A conclusion, of sorts. An ending that, as you would guess, leaves the floor open for more.
