The Game Awards, PlayStation announced a host of new games and products. See below for a round-up of the biggest announcements!

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a New Franchise From Naughty Dog | PS5

Naughty Dog, the makers of critically acclaimed series The Last of Us and Uncharted, announce Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

Intergalactic stars our newest protagonist, Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago. In fact, anyone who’s flown to it hoping to unravel its mysterious past was never heard from again. Jordan will have to use all her skills and wits if she hopes to be the first person in over 600 years to leave its orbit.

Helldivers 2 Omens of Tyranny | PS5

At the end of the First Galactic War, the Helldivers worked together to eradicate the Illuminate. We believed we were successful, and for nearly 100 years, we have lived in relative peace, holding the Terminid and Automaton threats at bay. But now the Illuminate have emerged seemingly out of nowhere. Even though we don’t know the true origin of the invasion, we have no choice now but to suppress three factions in the Galactic War.

The newest major update for Helldivers 2, Omens of Tyranny, featuring the return of the Illuminate faction, is now live.

DualSense Wireless Controller – Helldivers 2 Limited Edition 

Eliminate bugs, bots and squids with the Super Earth Ministry of Defense’s sleek new DualSense Wireless Controller – Helldivers 2 Limited Edition, sporting the iconic yellow and black armor paint scheme.

The DualSense Wireless Controller – Helldivers 2 Limited Edition will be available in limited quantities. Pre-orders start on Friday 20 December, 2024 at participating retailers, with launch on Thursday 6 February, 2025.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered | PC

Originally released for the PlayStation 5 console earlier this year, Part II Remastered allows players to continue the acclaimed story of The Last of Us with a definitive version featuring the award-winning campaign, new modes, improved quality, and more.

Releasing April 2025, Part II Remastered for PC, features the award-winning campaign focused on Ellie and Abby’s thrilling journeys, and brings with it all the new features the PS5 version introduced. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be newly optimised and enhanced for PC, with the teams at Nixxes, Iron Galaxy and Naughty Dog working to ensure the game is a thrill for PC players from the jump. We’ll be delving further into the PC-specific features and specs as we get closer to launch.

Midnight Murder Club | PS5

Midnight Murder Club is a six-player shooter-in-the-dark set in a sprawling, pitch-black mansion, where the only light you ever see comes from a flashlight piercing the darkness or gunfire piercing your heart.

Turning your flashlight on lets you see which of the 30+ elaborately decorated rooms you’re currently in, but it also gives away your position to enemies who might be hiding close by. It’s the ultimate game of flashlight tag. To further spice things up, find vending machines that give you access to a variety of devilish toys. Take night vision pills to temporarily see in the dark, deploy an inflatable flashlight-holding mannequin to fool other players, tear through the shadows with a torrent of bullets from a machine gun, and more!

The crossplay demo is now available on PS5, and it’ll be live through 22 December 2024. Midnight Murder Club releases Early Access in February 2025.

Ahead of its March 2018 release, the visually captivating 2D platformer Light Fall is becoming one of the most anticipated indie games of next year as it continues to receive industry recognition for its unique game mechanic, compelling storyline and beautiful art style.

We’re excited to share that Bishop Games’ Light Fall has been nominated in two categories for the upcoming Game Connection Development Awards at Game Connection Europe 2017 during Paris Game Week — Best Console PC / Hardcore and Best Hardcore Game. The Game Connection Development Awards has been recognizing and promoting independent game projects at any stage of development for the past ten years. The awards ceremony will be held on November 1st, 2017 at the Carré Montparnasse in Paris, France.

Last month, Light Fall was also recognized at the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2017 (BIC Fest), a global indie game festival held annually in Busan, South Korea. Light Fall was a finalist in five award categories — BIC Award Grand Prix, BIC Award Excellence in Casual, BIC Award Excellence in Narrative, BIC Award Excellence in Audio and BIC Award Excellence in Art.

Developed by Canadian indie studio Bishop Games, Light Fall is a one-of-a-kind platformer that utilizes the innovative Shadow Core, a magical box beneath your feet that can be used to propel yourself in the air, effectively making the game a platformer in which you control the platform. The game follows your adventures through the forgotten world of Numbra where darkness prevails over light as you embark on a quest to uncover a mysterious past.

Light Fall will be available for Windows PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in March 2018.
