Today at EA Play, Electronic Arts Inc. and partners Zoink Games, Glowmade and Hazelight Studios announced three new promising and independent development projects coming to consoles and PC.

Lost in Random is Zoink’s next game after releasing the stunning Fe, offering a unique spin on puzzles and combat. RustHeart is Glowmade’s EA Originals debut where players can forge an endearing friendship with a courageous robot hero. Hazelight’s follow up to the critically-acclaimed A Way Out builds on the studio’s expertise and success, with a new cooperative experience that will be named at a later date.

EA Originals supports up-and-coming studios by showcasing unique, innovative games to more players on all platforms. Following the success of Coldwood Studios’ Unravel, the label has built a proven track record with the BAFTA-winning A Way Out by Hazelight and Fe by Zoink, blazing the trail for games like Sea of Solitude by Jo-Mei Games launching on July 5th, 2019. The success of these partnerships has expanded the collaborative charter with new independent developers, such as the recently announced RustHeart from Glowmade and new EA Partner Velan Studios for more inspiring future titles.

EA is also increasing its commitment to players by offering more quality games from some of best developers in the industry through its subscription services. With EA Access on PlayStation® 4 launching this July in addition Xbox One and PC services, EA will offer subscriptions on more platforms than any other gaming company. EA’s Origin Access on PC gives players one of the deepest and highest rated catalogs of PC games available, featuring more than 200 games from more than 85 content partners boasting an average Metacritic score of 80. The library features games from award-winning studios like 11bit who will release Frostpunk and Moonlighter into the service later this year, to narrative-driven indie darlings like Supergiant Games’ Pyre, new releases like Tropico 6, Mutant Year Zero, Breathedge, alongside EA franchises like Battlefield and FIFA.

Zoink Games

Zoink’s Lost in Random is another stand out fantasy action adventure from the studio that brought you the magical EA Originals title, Fe. Lost in Random brings a brand-new spin on the genre, in a blend of strategy and action that explores the notion of chance and possibility, set within a beautifully dark and vivid world.

Glowmade

A co-op Action-RPG, RustHeart follows the player and their handmade robot sidekick as they adventure across a vibrant, alien multiverse. Glowmade’s RustHeart taps into the simple joy of creating in a uniquely cooperative setting: a compelling mix of tactical action-roleplay gameplay, player invention and spray paint.

Hazelight Studios

Hazelight Studios’ continues to cement their reputation for delivering story-driven, co-operative, and highly unexpected experiences, following the success of EA Originals title, A Way Out. Returning with a completely new title, Hazelight’s unannounced game promises to give players a fresh new take on the challenges of working together.

Also today at EA Play conference in L.A. EA Games has revealed that Anthem, the brand-new IP from BioWare’s renowned team, will launch on Feb 22nd, 2019. Anthem is a social, connected Action-RPG with cooperative multiplayer at its heart. Players customise an array of powered Javelin exosuits and team up to face a dangerous and ever-changing world through exploration and combat.

In Anthem, up to four players explore and battle in a dangerous, mysterious place populated by great characters and a unique BioWare story. Players will also create stories of their own while they play, so no two journeys are the same. Javelin exosuits make their pilots powerful heroes in the world, with awesome weapons and incredible special abilities that allow for combat and exploration in a hostile environment. Players will be able to customise and personalise their suits with unique paint jobs and gear so they’ll have the right tools to confront almost any situation, and look good doing it.

Players excited to enter the dangerous world of Anthem are now able to pre-order the game. Those who do will receive VIP demo access and a unique in-game Founders banner. Those who pre-order the Anthem standard edition will also receive a legendary weapon and the Legion of Dawn Armour Pack for the Ranger Javelin as part of their pre-order content. In addition, those who purchase the Legion of Dawn Edition of Anthem for pre-order or after launch will also receive the full set of Legion of Dawn Armour Packs (including the Ranger Javelin Legion of Dawn Armour Pack), a Ranger Javelin gear attachment, the digital soundtrack and more.

Anthem is developed by BioWare and will be available worldwide February 22nd, 2018 for Origin for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Origin Access Premier members can be the first to play the full game with unlimited access on PC starting February 15th, 2018, and EA Access and Origin Access Basic members can enjoy up to 10 hours of play time as part of the Play First Trial.

Today, at EA PLAY, Electronic Arts announced the pinnacle of club football competition is coming to EA SPORTS FIFA 19 with the integration of the UEFA Champions League, as well as the additions of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

“The UEFA Champions League has been one of the most requested features from players for over a decade, and we’re so excited for one of the World’s biggest competitions to join The World’s Game in FIFA 19.” said Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer for EA SPORTS FIFA. “We are elevating the experience this year in so many ways, from integrating UEFA Champions League content across the game, to adding a variety of new features that bring more control to gameplay.”

Fans can achieve glory in the brand-new UEFA Champions League tournament mode featuring all the drama from the group stage through to the illustrious final or play a custom version of the tournament with any European club of their choice included in the game.

In The Journey: Champions, the dramatic finale of the narrative driven story mode, players will chase the UEFA Champions League trophy as iconic young footballer Alex Hunter, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Alternatively, players can build their dream squad in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team, featuring live and authentic content from the world’s most prestigious club competitions, including the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

In PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC gameplay, new features allow players to control the pitch in every moment, from tactical approach to each technical touch, including the all-new Active Touch System that changes the way players receive and strike the ball, 50 / 50 Battles where reactions and player attributes determine the outcome for winning loose balls across the pitch, the new Dynamic Tactics system gives players greater ability to setup their squads and customise their tactical approach, and more.

Coldwood and Electronic Arts, at EA PLAY in Los Angeles today, for the first time ever, instantly revealed and launched Unravel Two. The innovative new single player and co-op puzzle platformer comes from the Swedish studio that brought to life Yarny, the tiny red woolen character that captured the hearts of players in 2015 with the hit indie game, Unravel.

Unravel Two builds off of the original game and centers on the bond between two Yarnys, which can be played as a single player or local co-op drop-in/drop-out experience, available beginning today. The two Yarnys will need to support one another as they work through tricky trials and traverse between beautiful natural landscapes and intricate urban environments, with the surroundings blossoming into new life as they embark on an adventure together.

Starting this Winter, players can join Origin Access Premier to enjoy full access to new EA releases on PC before anyone else, including the upcoming launches of EA SPORTS Madden NFL 19, EA SPORTS FIFA 19, Battlefield V and Anthem.

Electronic Arts Inc. announced to us today that “Live @ EA PLAY” will provide new looks and deep dives into its biggest games, new reveals and more. “Live @ EA PLAY” will also showcase the first live multiplayer match for Star Wars Battlefront called “Assault on Theed”. The match will utilize a prequel-era map and feature 40 of the biggest YouTube influencers in the world.

EA PLAY 2017 is one of the biggest pop culture events of the summer. At the heart of EA PLAY is the FanFest, which will house more than 150 hands-on gaming stations. Here fans will be some of the first to play EA’s newest lineup of games.

On Saturday night, the multi-platinum Grammy-nominated rapper Nas will headline a live performance with DJ Green Lantern and rapper Dave East. On Sunday, players will have a chance to get an autograph or take a selfie with NFL legend Barry Sanders. On Monday, from noon to 5pm PST, fans who play Star Wars Battlefront II and win their round will compete to win a free trip to Gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany and have a special experience with the Star Wars Battlefront II team.
