GRAMMY-nominated international superstar and LGBTQ+ trailblazer Adam Lambert, the first openly gay artist to have an album reach No. 1 on the Billboard album chart in the US and Canada, signals his electrifying and unapologetic next musical chapter with today’s release of his “Whataya Want From Me ’24 (WhiteShadow’s HEMix).”

Now streaming on all platforms, the song reimagines Lambert’s 2009 smash hit “Whataya Want From Me,” the second single off his debut album For Your Entertainment and the song that earned him a GRAMMY nomination for best male pop vocal performance.

Whataya Want From Me - Remix
Cleverly titled a ‘HE’-Mix, one of the most noteworthy changes of Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me ’24 (WhiteShadow’s HEMix)” is the reimplementation of the pronoun “he” which was replaced with “it” when the song was originally recorded in 2009. “HE messed me up / Need a second to breathe,” Lambert proudly sings in this 2024 version to reclaim the pronoun and queerness in his artistry. Embracing a dance-centric approach, the HE-mix is tailor-made to set dance floors ablaze, inviting individuals from all walks of life to come together and revel in the joy of unabashed self-expression.

“‘Whataya Want From Me’ is a song that I hold dear to my heart and its success contributed to me having a platform to speak out in support of queer rights and equality,” said Lambert. “It’s a beautiful, full circle moment that I’m now able to reclaim it loud and proud with the ‘he’ pronoun to celebrate my community and how far we’ve come, with real representation and a spectrum of vibrant identities flourishing in the music industry. 2009 wasn’t ready for me, 2024 is.”

On May 31 2024, Lambert will kick off PRIDE month and WeHo Pride Weekend programming with a performance at WeHo Pride Presents Friday Night at OUTLOUD, a free outdoor concert courtesy of the City of West Hollywood, taking place at West Hollywood Park.
