It finally happened. After nine straight series losses to Vitality, The MongolZ have pulled off their biggest win yet, taking down one of the world’s most dominant teams 2–0 in the BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 semi-final. The result sends the Mongolian squad into their first-ever grand final at this event, where they’ll meet Spirit for the trophy.

Vitality, who’ve looked unstoppable for much of 2025, were outplayed on both Mirage and Inferno. For The MongolZ, this wasn’t just another victory, it was proof that they can go toe-to-toe with the best and come out on top.

Mirage – The MongolZ Lock Down Defence (13–7 The MongolZ)

Mirage was The MongolZ’s pick, but early on it didn’t look like it. Vitality stormed ahead 4–0, capped off by a clever 1v2 from ropz. Still, the Mongolian side dug in, with 910 clutching key rounds and turning a 3v5 into a win that swung momentum back their way.

The half ended 6–6, but after switching sides The MongolZ completely shut down Vitality. A pistol-round win, an anti-eco conversion, and even an ace from 910 set the tone. Vitality only scraped together one round in the half, courtesy of mezii, but The MongolZ never lost control and sealed it 13–7.

Inferno – holding their nerve (13–11 The MongolZ)

Inferno was Vitality’s chance to hit back, but it quickly went sideways. On CT side, The MongolZ piled on the pressure, with Senzu and 910 leading the charge in a suffocating 10–2 half. Vitality struggled to even get bomb plants down.

The Europeans weren’t finished, though. With apEX finding big multi-kills, they mounted a huge comeback to tie things up 11–11. But just when it looked like history might repeat itself, The MongolZ dug deep. A crucial moment saw bLitz crouch under a shot from ZywOo’s AWP in a 1v1 clutch, a stroke of luck that swung match point their way.

From there, they closed it out 13–11, completing the upset and the series sweep.

Mongolian Milestone

For The MongolZ, this is more than just a semi-final win. It’s their first series victory over Vitality after years of trying, and it puts them in the BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 grand final against Spirit.

With Senzu racking up 41 kills, 910 delivering clutch after clutch, and the team finally breaking past the mental block of facing Vitality, this result feels like a breakthrough. Vitality bow out in 3rd–4th place, while The MongolZ now have their shot at a $480,000 prize pool and their biggest trophy yet.
