The move means all five players are leaving the team:
- Brendan “BcJ” Jensen
- Ludovic “MonSi” Lefebvre (joined in February 2025)
- Amarri “Pa1nt” Peak
- Jake “Paincakes” Hass
- Adam “spaz” Laamoumi
Several members have already shared that they’re looking for new opportunities with other teams heading into the next stage of VALORANT esports.
From Moist x Shopify to SR Black
This roster’s story began as a joint venture between Shopify Rebellion and Moist Esports, branded Moist x Shopify. The project was led by popular streamers and co-owners Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” White and Ludwig Ahgren.
On January 17th this year, the roster transitioned fully under Shopify Rebellion before being renamed SR Black on January 22nd. The rebrand was made to differentiate it from Shopify Rebellion’s Game Changers squad, which became SR Gold.
Competitive Run
SR Black made a strong start under the Shopify banner, winning North America Stage 1 after a 3–1 victory over M80 in the Grand Finals.
However, later stages didn’t bring the same success. In North America Stage 2, the team finished 13th after falling 2–1 to Blue Otter, while Stage 3 saw a 12th-place finish following another narrow 2–1 loss to YFP.
Their final appearance came at the Bell Esports Challenge 2025, where they placed second. Despite a solid run, they fell short of qualifying for Red Bull Home Ground 2025 after losing 2–0 to Cubert Academy in the Grand Finals.
What’s Next
The disbandment marks the end of a brief but eventful chapter for Shopify Rebellion Black in the VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers circuit. While the organisation shifts its focus elsewhere, fans will be watching closely to see where the roster’s former players land in the coming months.
For now, Shopify Rebellion’s farewell post says it best: “Thank you for everything, wishing you success in the next chapter.”
