Passion UA have confirmed the signing of Santino “try” Rigal and Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold to their Counter-Strike 2 roster, marking a significant shake-up after a slow start to the 2026 season. The organisation, owned by Oleksandr Zinchenko, is clearly looking to inject fresh firepower into the line-up ahead of its next run of events.

The move sees try arrive from Imperial to take over primary AWP duties, while Senzu joins on loan from The MongolZ after being benched late last year.
Try Joins From Imperial To Take Over AWP Role
Passion UA announced the addition of Argentinian sniper Santino “try” Rigal from Imperial, with the 21-year-old taking full-time AWP responsibilities. With hallzerk now officially benched, try steps into the AWP role at a time when Passion UA are looking for greater consistency against higher-ranked teams.

try has long been considered one of the most promising AWPers to emerge from South America. Over the last 18 months with Imperial, he attended three Majors and consistently stood out as the team’s highest-rated player, posting an impressive 1.19 average rating across his tenure.
While Imperial struggled to break through internationally, they did manage a surprise run to Stage 3 of the StarLadder Budapest Major, where try remained one of the few players able to hold his own statistically against elite opposition. His performances in regional tournaments such as Circuito FERJEE de Esports 2025 and FiReLEAGUE Buenos Aires 2025 further reinforced his reputation.
For Passion UA, this signing directly addresses their need for a consistent top-tier AWPer after failing to win a series at either BLAST Bounty Season 1 or IEM Katowice Stage 1 earlier this year.
Senzu Arrives On Loan From The MongolZ
Shortly after confirming try, Passion UA also revealed the signing of Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold on loan from The MongolZ. The Mongolian rifler was benched at the end of October 2025, shortly after his former team topped the Valve Regional Standings.
In a social media post, Passion UA teased the move with the message “You know what 13 means,” referencing Senzu’s ranking as the 13th-best player of 2025 by HLTV. The organisation added that his “insane decisions and cold confidence” will now work in their favour.
Senzu, just 19 years old, brings a strong pedigree. During his two-year stint with The MongolZ, he helped the team win the Esports World Cup in 2025 and finish second at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. His last appearance came at the Thunderpick World Championship in October 2025, where The MongolZ secured third place after defeating Aurora Gaming 2–1 in the third-place match.
Although Senzu recently expressed openness to transitioning into a full-time AWP role, reports indicate he will continue rifling in his new team.
Roman Imperium Cup V Next On The Schedule
Passion UA’s revamped CS2 roster will return to action at Roman Imperium Cup V, running from February 19th to 22nd. The Tier 2 event offers valuable Valve Regional Standings points, crucial for securing qualification to the IEM Cologne Major in June.
Currently ranked seventh in the Americas VRS, Passion UA will compete alongside teams such as Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Gentle Mates in a 16-team field. The month continues with participation in the online stage of ESL Pro League Season 23.
With try bringing proven AWP consistency and Senzu adding explosive rifling power, Passion UA are clearly betting on immediate impact. After a winless start to 2026 at the top level, this double signing signals that the organisation is not prepared to wait around for results.
