Riot Games has issued official warnings to both Forsaken and Bushido Wildcats following an investigation into a controversial video that circulated during the EMEA Masters 2025 Summer Split.

The incident began when a clip surfaced online showing Forsaken players performing an inappropriate celebration during a private stream after their victory over Rich Gang Esports. The footage, which appeared around the 3-hour 33-minute mark on player Jakub “Cinkrof” Rokicki’s livestream, quickly made its rounds across social media and sparked heated discussions between fans of both teams.

While the moment seemed light-hearted to some, others, including rival players and community figures, called it unprofessional, arguing that such conduct doesn’t belong in a major tournament setting. The situation escalated when members of the Turkish community accused Forsaken of disrespect, while others pointed out double standards, citing instances of verbal abuse in opposing streams that went unpunished.

Despite the ongoing review, Forsaken continued to compete and successfully advanced to the Playoffs after defeating Bushido Wildcats to close the Swiss Stage 4–3. However, just days later, Riot announced the first wave of disciplinary actions: Forsaken player Dawid “Melonik” Ślęczka received a formal warning and a two-match suspension, while the team itself was reprimanded for violating the tournament’s Code of Conduct.

Bushido Wildcats, along with the head of MISA Esports (one of the associated organisations), were also issued warnings for their conduct following the escalating feud.

The controversy has since opened wider discussions around sportsmanship and consistency in Riot’s disciplinary actions. Several figures from the European League of Legends community spoke out online. Player Kaseko from Forsaken defended the moment, saying, “We are a team built of clown-streamers and we didn’t mean to offend anyone.” Others, like commentator frajgo, highlighted the need for fairness, writing that if Forsaken’s behaviour is punished, so too should be the “reprehensible” remarks made by a team owner during the same period.

While tempers flared across both fanbases, the tournament itself has continued as planned. Riot confirmed that the investigation will not affect the scheduling of matches or the competitive integrity of the EMEA Masters 2025 Summer Playoffs, which will feature top teams like Los Ratones, Vitality.Bee, and Barça Esports battling for the regional crown.

The EMEA Masters serves as one of League of Legends’ biggest tier-two competitions, offering emerging talent from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa a chance to showcase their skills on a global stage. This incident serves as a reminder that, even off-stage, professional behaviour is still expected from players representing the League ecosystem.
