The Marvel Rivals IGNITE Mid-Season Finals has wrapped up in Guangzhou, China, and Rad are walking away as the first-ever international champions.
In a week full of high-intensity clashes, upsets, and some incredible hero plays, the European squad came out on top with a 4–2 victory over ENVY in the Grand Finals. Both teams had started the tournament from the Play-In stage, and both had to fight through regional champions just to get there.
From Play-Ins to the Big Stage
Rad’s path to the trophy wasn’t easy. Early on, they were sent to the lower bracket by ENVY, but instead of folding, they turned things around in style, dropping only one match on their way back to the top. Along the way, they knocked out heavy hitters like Sentinels, Citadel Gaming, and 100 Thieves.
100 Thieves, who were looking for revenge after falling to ENVY in the upper bracket, didn’t get their rematch. Rad swept them 3–0 in the lower bracket final, closing the door on the North American squad and booking their spot in the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals: Revenge Served Hot
When the finals rolled around, Rad clearly came prepared. They kicked things off with a dominant 2–0 on Celestial Husk before ENVY struck back on Yggdrasill Path. Rad then took two more maps in a row, Hall of Djalia and Hell’s Heaven, putting themselves within touching distance of the title.
ENVY weren’t going down without a fight, winning on Central Park to close the gap, but Spider-Islands sealed it for Rad. The final score? 4–2, with Europe standing tall.
🎉🏆 Congratulations to Team RAD @RadEsport for winning the Marvel Rivals Mid-Season Finals!
The trophy belongs to Team RAD!

Key Moments and Strategies
One of the biggest factors in Rad’s victory was their smart drafting. They made sure ENVY’s stars couldn’t get their hands on their best heroes, Phoenix and Human Torch, a move that forced constant adjustments and discomfort in the American squad’s line-up.
Rad, on the other hand, stuck to what worked. TrqstMe’s backline dives kept ENVY on their toes, Rajaaro’s Emma Frost anchored the frontline, Melio and Naga pumped out consistent damage, and Lv1Crook’s Loki kept the team alive in clutch moments.
There were some unforgettable plays too, like TrqstMe surviving through six enemy ultimates, Fate pulling off big value with Jeff (yes, Jeff), and ENVY having to solo-ult him just to stop the chaos.

What’s Next for Marvel Rivals Esports?
This was Marvel Rivals’ first major international LAN, and it’s set the stage for an exciting competitive year. Stage 2 of IGNITE is up next, followed by the Marvel Rivals Championship later in the year.
With Blade coming into the game for Season 3.5 and some meta-defining heroes like Human Torch, Phoenix, and Magneto still untouched by nerfs, expect to see similar compositions in the next big event.
But for now, Rad are the ones holding the trophy, and $160,000 in prize money, as the undisputed kings of Marvel Rivals’ Mid-Season Finals.
Enjoy and celebrate this glorious moment to the fullest! 🎉🥳
