PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting a sizeable batch of new games in March, with Sony confirming several major additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.

The headline arrival is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which joins the service alongside titles like Persona 5 Royal, EA Sports Madden NFL 26, and Blasphemous 2. The full lineup becomes available starting March 17, with access limited to PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium tiers.

For many players, this month’s update stands out because one of the most popular recent Xbox Game Pass titles is now heading to PlayStation’s subscription service.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Headlines The March Update

The biggest draw in the March PlayStation Plus Game Catalog update is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a third-person shooter developed by Saber St. Petersburg and published by Focus Entertainment.

The game originally launched in 2024 and quickly became one of the most-played titles on Xbox Game Pass after joining that service earlier this year. The shooter has consistently ranked near the top of Game Pass charts since January.

Space Marine 2 puts players back in the armour of Captain Titus, battling massive Tyranid swarms in large-scale combat across multiple planets. The game mixes third-person shooting with hack-and-slash mechanics and includes a full campaign, PvE missions supporting up to three players, and competitive 6v6 multiplayer battles.

The sequel also proved far more successful than its predecessor. While the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine released in 2011 to modest attention, the sequel sold more than 4.5 million copies and achieved stronger critical reception, scoring between 80 and 83 on Metacritic. It was also nominated for Best Multiplayer and Best Action Game at The Game Awards in its release year.

For PlayStation Plus members, the key detail is that the game will be available at no extra cost with Extra or Premium subscriptions, avoiding its usual US$40 purchase price.

Sony says the selection aims to cover a wide range of player interests, from story-driven RPGs and action shooters to sandbox exploration and sports titles.

One of the most recognisable additions is Persona 5 Royal, the expanded version of the award-winning JRPG. The updated release adds new story content, characters, locations, and gameplay mechanics such as a grappling hook system that opens new areas within its dungeon-style palaces.

Meanwhile, Blasphemous 2 continues the dark, gothic action-platformer series with the return of The Penitent One, while Astroneer offers a cooperative sandbox experience built around exploration and planetary terraforming.

Sony confirmed that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection will join PlayStation Plus Premium as part of the Classics lineup. The arcade fighter originally expanded on Tekken 5, adding characters like Lili, Armor King, and Sergei Dragunov, along with new story modes and character customisation features.

Premium members will be able to revisit traditional modes such as Arcade Battle, Story Battle, and Practice, alongside extra activities like Tekken Bowl and Gold Rush.

When The PlayStation Plus March Games Become Available

All newly announced PlayStation Plus Game Catalog titles will become playable on March 17.

Access depends on subscription tier. The Game Catalog additions are available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, while Premium subscribers also gain access to the newly added classic title.

Sony notes that catalog availability can vary slightly depending on region, and players are encouraged to check the PlayStation Store once the update goes live.

With a mix of blockbuster shooters, JRPG favourites, and experimental indie experiences, the March PlayStation Plus lineup looks set to keep subscribers busy for quite a while.
