Marvel Rivals is stepping up its competition scene this August, so things are getting hot. The IGNITE 2025 Mid-Season Finals, the game’s first-ever official worldwide LAN event, will begin in Guangzhou, China, from August 6–10.
Ten top teams from the Americas, EMEA, Asia, Oceania, and China will compete for a share of the enormous $500,000 prize fund. This is a landmark event for Marvel Rivals as it solidly enters the esports limelight; it’s not simply another competition.

From Online to Onstage
This mid-season finals event is a significant milestone for NetEase’s hero shooter, offering players and fans alike the thrill of offline gameplay. Held at the NetEase HQ II in Guangzhou’s Tianhe District, the tournament won’t be open to the public, but fans can catch every minute of the action live online.
The event starts with a Play-In Stage on August 6th, where four teams will battle it out in a GSL-style bracket.

Only two will survive to join six directly seeded squads in the Main Stage, which begins on August 7th and runs through to the 10th.

Qualified Teams
A total of ten teams were invited to the tournament based on their regional performances. Heavy hitters like 100 Thieves, Sentinels, and rising star roster Brr Brr Patapim (now signed by Citadel Gaming) are all making their way to Guangzhou.

The spotlight’s firmly on Sentinels, who’ve dominated the Americas scene and head into this event as favourites. All eyes are on Brr Brr Patapim, though, as they may be the underdog in this crucial matchup after shocking everyone with their unexpected victories in the EMEA bracket.

Meanwhile, 100 Thieves are chasing redemption after a series of close losses, attempting to turn the tide and ultimately defeat their opponents.
