Bad Guitar Studios has officially announced that FragPunk will be taking centre stage at TwitchCon San Diego this year, with the Punk Clash Cup, a live LAN party competition open to all attendees. The event kicks off on October 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM PST, promising a chaotic and high-energy showcase of community-driven gameplay.

Matches will be played on-site by attendees and streamed live on FragPunk’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, giving fans around the world a front-row seat to the action.

TwitchCon San Diego Heats Up

TwitchCon 2025, running from October 17th to 19th in San Diego, California, is one of the biggest annual celebrations of gaming and streaming culture. The event features meet-and-greets, panels, and high-profile competitions like Twitch Rivals, which this year will include Marvel Rivals and Street Fighter 6.

With FragPunk joining the lineup, attendees can expect a mix of casual fun and competitive fire. The LAN party setup invites anyone to join in, bringing together casual players, content creators, and die-hard fans of the tactical shooter for an unforgettable live experience.

A Year of Momentum for FragPunk

2025 has been a busy and exciting year for FragPunk. Since its console debut, the free-to-play tactical shooter has expanded its global community through a mix of competitive tournaments, community-driven events, and new in-game updates.

Earlier this year, FragPunk hosted the Global Invitational, a massive $200,000 (around £150,000) tournament that ran from April 28th to June 7th. It was ultimately won by the underdog team Imag1nator, who swept Work In Silence 3–0 in the Grand Finals.

The game also featured in Twitch Rivals earlier in the year, where top streamers Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek and Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo faced off in a fan-favourite showmatch, with TenZ taking the win.

On top of its esports presence, FragPunk continues to roll out updates and community events, including September’s “Invite Your Friends” grand tournament incentive, which rewards players for teaming up and taking part in in-game challenges.

Fans Call for a Pro League

The FragPunk community has been vocal online, with many players calling for a more structured esports scene around the game. One fan on X wrote, “Would be huge to have a pro league on FragPunk please devs consider this option 🙏🏼.”

With the Punk Clash Cup now bringing live competition to TwitchCon, it’s clear that Bad Guitar Studios is testing the waters for bigger competitive events ahead, and this could be a stepping stone toward an official FragPunk pro circuit in the future.
