It might only be September, but Fortnite fans are already gearing up for one of the biggest events of the year. Fortnitemares 2025 leaks have started to roll in, giving us a solid picture of the crossovers, new skins, and returning modes we can expect once October hits.

Unlike the quieter holiday and summer updates, Fortnitemares always delivers a heap of content, from collabs with pop culture icons to new limited-time modes and spooky in-game items. This year is shaping up to be no different, with Epic Games reportedly lining up some major surprises for the final big update of Chapter 6.

Jason Voorhees Joins the Island

Following in the footsteps of Michael Myers and Jigsaw, another horror legend is about to make his way to Fortnite. Jason Voorhees is set to be one of the headline collabs for Fortnitemares 2025.

The Friday the 13th slasher won’t just be a skin either. Leaks suggest Jason will also come with a special medallion item, though it’s not yet clear whether this will feature in the main Battle Royale or something more experimental like Blitz Royale.

Scooby Doo Crossover

In a lighter twist, Fortnite is also preparing to bring Scooby Doo into the mix. Shaggy is the only confirmed skin so far, but leaks point to multiple characters from the classic cartoon joining the game. Expect themed cosmetics to arrive alongside the skins, making this one of the more family-friendly collabs of the spooky season.

Original Halloween Skins

Of course, Fortnitemares wouldn’t feel complete without Epic’s own Halloween creations. Each year we see fresh spins on original Fortnite characters, some of which become rare fan favourites like Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper. We don’t yet know which designs are coming this year, but you can count on new outfits landing in the next update.

Horde Rush and Returning Modes

Horde Rush, a fan-favourite limited-time mode, is also set to return. Players will once again team up to fight waves of monsters across a smaller map, capped off with a raid boss battle. In past years, this mode has offered free cosmetics for completing quests, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for those rewards.

Alongside Horde Rush, expect the usual batch of spooky items to return:

  • Trick or Treat Candy – small healing items scattered across the map.
  • Witch’s Broom – a redeploy tool that lets you soar into the air and glide across the island.
  • Chainsaw – a hybrid melee and mobility weapon that hasn’t appeared every year, but could make its comeback this season.

When Does Fortnitemares 2025 Start?

While Epic hasn’t officially confirmed dates, leaks suggest Fortnitemares 2025 will run through October and wrap up in early November when the current season ends. That means players will have roughly a month to enjoy all the new content before Fortnite shifts into its next mini season and potentially introduces a new temporary map.

With Jason Voorhees, Scooby Doo, and new Halloween skins on the way, Fortnitemares 2025 looks like it’ll be one of the most packed events we’ve seen yet. Whether you’re here for the horror collabs, fun LTMs, or just another reason to jump back into Battle Royale, this year’s Halloween event is going to be one to remember.
