European esports organisation Ex Oblivione has officially disbanded its Marvel Rivals roster, just weeks before the Ignite Stage 2 tournament in the EMEA region.

The news was confirmed on social media, where the team expressed gratitude for the players’ efforts and wished them the best in the next stage of their careers.

Six Players Released

The disbandment means six players are now without a home:

  • Asher ‘ashh‘ Ahmed – Vanguard
  • Kenlakaj – Vanguard
  • Maksimus ‘m2zuri‘ Vukya – Vanguard
  • Oleg ‘Oleg‘ Krassmann – Duellist
  • Aatu ‘Olli‘ Olli – Strategist
  • Sector – Strategist

Several players have already gone online to confirm they are open to new opportunities, while others are yet to reveal their next moves.

Ex Oblivione’s Journey in Marvel Rivals

Ex Oblivione first entered the Marvel Rivals competitive scene in July 2024 and has since had a rollercoaster run.

In its early outings, the squad placed 11th in the Season 0 Championship Europe PC division and 8th in the Season 1 Championship. They also narrowly missed out on Ignite Stage 1, losing to Team1, who went on to win the Mid Season Finals.

Their biggest achievement came in July 2025, when they claimed victory in the Season 2 Championship EMEA PC division, securing $6,000 USD (~£4,479) in prize winnings. This strong result also earned them an invite to Ignite Stage 2, where they were set to face top teams like Team1 (formerly Rad EU), Virtus.pro, and Citadel Gaming (the reigning EMEA Stage 1 champions).

What Happens Next?

With the roster now disbanded, it’s unclear whether Ex Oblivione will rebuild with new players in time for Ignite Stage 2, or if this marks the end of their run in Marvel Rivals esports.

The former roster members are already exploring their next steps, and given their tournament experience, it’s safe to say they’ll attract interest from other organisations in the Marvel Rivals scene.
