While the exact location for the 2027 edition has yet to be revealed, Shanghai, China, remains the most likely host city given that previous tournaments, including the upcoming CAC 2026, set for May 18–24, are also scheduled to be held there.
A Growing Tournament Legacy
The Counter-Strike Asia Championships (CAC) have grown rapidly since their inception, evolving from an eight-team event into a 16-team international competition featuring top-tier organisations from across the globe. The 2025 edition marked a turning point for the series, featuring intense matches and surprise upsets that helped solidify CAC’s reputation as one of the must-watch events on the CS2 calendar.
For context, Team Liquid fell to 3DMAX in the semifinals of the 2025 tournament, while Legacy Esports delivered a stunning comeback in the grand final to claim their first major trophy, cementing their place among the world’s elite.
Looking Ahead to 2027
With CAC 2026 already confirmed for Shanghai and CAC 2027 following closely behind, Perfect World’s long-term commitment to the Counter-Strike scene is clear. Fans can expect more details on the venue, participating teams, and format as the event approaches.
Whether 2027 will bring another breakout story like Legacy’s rise remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain, the Counter-Strike Asia Championships are here to stay and will continue shaping the future of competitive CS2 in the region.
