A New Era Begins for Como 1907
Italian football club Como 1907 has stepped into the world of gaming with the launch of the Como Gaming Club, a fresh and creative space designed to bring together football culture, digital entertainment and the calm, stylish identity of Lake Como. Announced on 28 November, the project aims to connect the club with new generations by embracing gaming as its own culture and community, rather than simply opening a traditional esports division.
Como 1907 introduces the Como Gaming Club, a new chapter in the Club’s cultural universe. It brings the world of gaming into the wider Como experience, guided by the same sense of design, calm and community that shapes everything connected to the lake.

Built with intention, care and long-term vision, the Como Gaming Club blends design, storytelling and community engagement, marking a significant step in the club’s evolving identity.
Not Just an Esports Department
From the beginning, Como 1907 has been clear that this is not a standard esports team. Instead, the Como Gaming Club is a cultural hub that welcomes fans, families, young people and creators into a space shaped by play, connection and shared experiences.
The club plans to host community sessions, creative collaborations and new forms of visual storytelling inspired by the rhythms and aesthetics of Lake Como. A dedicated Instagram page has already launched, serving as the main home for updates, stories and behind the scenes content.
Anders Vejrgang Joins as First Pro Player
The unveiling of the Como Gaming Club begins with a major signing. Anders Vejrgang, one of the most recognised young talents in the EA SPORTS FC scene and winner of the FC Pro 24 World Championship, has officially joined Como 1907 as its new EA FC 26 pro player.
Vejrgang will represent the club in upcoming tournaments including the EA SPORTS FC eSupercup 2025 and the eSerie A Goleador 2026, wearing new colours and insignia designed specifically for the project. He will meet fans at Milan Games Week as part of Como’s presence at the DNSTY stand.
Ryan Shelton, Chief Revenue Officer of Como 1907, said the move reflects the club’s philosophy.
“Gaming and esports are their own culture and language, and if we were going to enter that world, we knew we had to do so with intention, a clear identity and a long-term vision. Bringing Anders on board speaks to the level of thought, care and seriousness we’re putting behind this project. This isn’t a side quest. It’s a community we’re committed to building.”
Merchandise and Milan Games Week Debut
A first line of Como Gaming Club merchandise will debut at Milan Games Week. The collection includes a hat, T shirt, sweatshirt and a new gaming jersey created in partnership with Team Falcons, the current Esports World Cup champions.
The fresh branding extends to a newly designed logo and visual identity, crafted to represent the club’s calm, modern and thoughtfully curated approach to gaming culture.
Community at the Heart of the Project
The Como Gaming Club is already making its mark inside the organisation itself. Staff across Como 1907 have formed a team competing in the League of Brands, a national tournament for Italian companies. They have reached the Final Four, with the next match taking place on 30 November.
This involvement reflects the club’s broader mission for the project, building an environment where football, play, creativity and digital culture coexist naturally.
Carrying Lake Como Into a New World
With the launch of the Como Gaming Club, Como 1907 continues to redefine what a modern football club can be. By blending sport, entertainment and contemporary culture, the initiative opens a digital space shaped by the character and imagination of Lake Como.
It is more than a gaming project. It is a cultural extension of the club’s identity, designed for the communities who live and breathe both football and digital creativity.
