Comic Con India is kicking off the new year with something special. For the first time, the Pink City of Jaipur will host its own Comic Con, transforming Rajasthan’s capital into a full-blown celebration of pop culture, gaming, comics, and creativity.
Running from January 4 to 6, 2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre, this landmark event marks a major expansion for one of India’s biggest fan festivals.
A New Home for Fandom in the Pink City
Jaipur Comic Con arrives through a collaboration between Comic Con India, NODWIN Gaming, and the Government of Rajasthan under the state’s AVGC policy, which focuses on boosting animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics.
Tickets for the event are available exclusively on the District by Zomato app, and organisers are gearing up for one of the most colourful editions yet.
The festival will run alongside the Rajasthan DigiFest × TiE Global Summit 2026, tying the event into the state’s wider push to empower young creators, tech talent, and creative professionals.
Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Convenor of the TiE Global Summit, said the partnership will help promote local artists, studios, and startups. He added that Comic Con’s arrival fits perfectly with Rajasthan’s drive to grow employment in gaming and creative industries.
What Fans Can Expect at Jaipur Comic Con
Organisers promise a packed three-day celebration filled with comic launches, cosplay competitions, gaming arenas, VR booths, and meet-ups with top creators and filmmakers.
Visitors can expect:
- Comic and manga launches from both Indian and international publishers
- Cosplay contests across comics, anime, sci-fi, gaming, and more
- VR and gaming zones, including themed attractions and interactive experiences
- Workshops, panels, and creator sessions featuring leading artists, writers, and industry guests

- Fan zones and community meetups for every kind of fandom
Classic Indian comic icons like Suppandi, Chacha Chaudhary, and Shikari Shambhu will also be featured, sitting alongside global franchises and modern favourites.
Comic Con India CEO Shefali Johnson said the goal is to bring fans closer to the stories and creators they love, and Jaipur’s mix of culture, history, and youthful energy made it the ideal new home.
“There Couldn’t Be a More Fitting Place”
NODWIN Gaming Co-founder and MD Akshat Rathee said the decision to bring Comic Con to Jaipur was inspired by years of fan messages from Rajasthan.
“For years, we met fans who would travel overnight to other cities just to attend Comic Con. Bringing the event to Jaipur is our way of celebrating that spirit,” Rathee said. “There couldn’t be a more fitting place for Comic Con’s Rajasthan debut than the Pink City.”
Jaipur’s reputation for art, design, and storytelling is another core reason behind the move. The city is known for its vibrant architecture, historic artistry, and thriving creative scene, making it a natural stage for India’s biggest pop-culture festival.
Comic Con India’s Biggest Expansion Yet
Comic Con India was acquired by NODWIN Gaming in 2024, and has rapidly expanded its footprint since then. Recent editions took place in Hyderabad alongside DreamHack, and upcoming events include:

- Bangalore: December 20 to 21
- Chennai
- Pune
- Kolkata
- Mumbai
Jaipur now joins that growing calendar, marking the first time the festival will be held in Rajasthan.
