A Celebration of the Year’s Top Talent
The CRL Awards highlight the very best across five categories: The MVP, The Clutch, The All-Rounder, The Dark Horse, and The One-Trick Pony. Fans can now cast their votes directly through the Esports tab inside Clash Royale, with voting open until October 20th.
The winners will be decided through a mix of community votes and input from official casters, players, and top content creators, with results set to be announced on October 24th.
Supercell’s initiative has already sparked plenty of buzz across the community, with players celebrating their favourite stars and some even calling for more engagement events like this in the future.
The Finalists: World-Class Competitors
Every player who qualified for the upcoming CRL 2025 World Finals is in the running for this year’s awards. The list includes a stacked lineup of 12 elite competitors:
- Mohamed “Mohamed Light” Tarek – the defending world champion and top seed after dominating the Calalas Cup Gold Edition.
- Mugi
- Ian77 – who recently defeated Mohamed Light in the Stats Royale Gold Edition.
- Adriel Eduardo
- Pedro
- Sub
- Lucas “LucasXGamer” Rocha
- Egor “Khazardy” Akhmetzyanov
- Kim “SandBox” Seoung-Jin
- Samuel “xopxsam” Klotz
- Frontier Guard
- Vitor “Vitor75” Sousa
Fans are already rallying behind their favourites, with xopxsam trending among supporters on social media as the frontrunner for The One-Trick Pony category.
DreamHack Atlanta Awaits
The CRL 2025 World Finals will take place at DreamHack Atlanta from October 31st to November 2nd, featuring a $500,000 prize pool. The world champion will walk away with a massive $200,000, making it one of the most lucrative single-player events in mobile esports.
While Supercell hasn’t yet confirmed the official tournament format, last year’s event featured a double-elimination bracket. With the player pool expanding from eight to twelve competitors this year, fans are curious to see how the new format will play out.
An opening ceremony is planned for October 31st, promising to kick off the Finals weekend in style.
Fans Show Passion (and Opinions)
The CRL community has flooded social media with excitement, and a few frustrations. While many praise the interactive awards, some have voiced their concerns about recent game updates and balance changes. Still, the Awards have reignited interest in the competitive scene and built anticipation for the World Finals.
As one fan put it on X (formerly Twitter), “We need more creative engagement like this with CRL, good job.”
Get Involved
If you want to have your say in who takes home the CRL 2025 trophies, open Clash Royale and head to the Esports tab before October 20th to vote.
